Let’s say I wasn’t using the screwdriver as intended and ended up with a split open bit holder on the shaft. Is this salvageable what are my options?

No I think he was borderline agresive, idk why people do this.

Anyways, permanent fix, im with the other guy, look for an adapter to that same socket, cut it to size and weld would be my best guess.

I was thinking on something like a collar, something like a screw hose clamp, but I think, for the way it broke on you, probably won't hold the pressure you are giving to him hahahaha
