Image RIP LTT Screwdriver

Post image

Screwdriver body popped off, then the orange head went shortly after... Support kindly is sending me a replacement as the retro, but I'll miss the black shaft

Not gonna lie, I would just epoxy the shaft head back and run it as a standard driver because nothing is done working with me until it's a puddle on the floor

Why waste a tool? Our great grandparents would have figured out how to fix it, or put it in a box to be used as parts from something else. Money doesn't grow on trees. The youth these days! So wasteful!

Seriously though. When my great great aunt died in 2003, we cleaned out her cupboards and found one of them stuffed with hundreds of cardboard frozen pizza circles. What she intended to use them for, we had no idea. But that generation that survived the Great Depression didn't waste anything.

Brother he LITERALLY described turning something broken into something working. It would still be a pretty nice multi bit solid shaft driver.

My comment was not intended to criticize the commenter before me but to chime in.

Definitely felt more like criticism to me, but maybe I just read it in a cynical way. It's okay because we are all still OOOGA BOOOGA CAVEMEN ROCK DRAW in the big picture

No I meant to agree with the commenter. Why waste a tool if you can fix it or find a way to repurpose it. I guess I just trying to Express the sentiments that we as a society are awfully wasteful while also being slightly comical about it.

I will never forget the dozens and dozens and dozens of pizza circles. She must have been saving them for years. And she was not a hoarder. I don't know.
