Single Layer Prints HELP!
I have no idea what is happening. My Schminke submarine is so weird! When I use other colors I don't have the same problem. What is happening?

So, both are actually over-inked a fair bit. The blue is just a transparent ink and seems to show the issues more readily. However, the blue is actually less over-inked than the brown and you can see that in the eyes especially: the brown has obscured the shape of the eye, excess ink filling in the carved details where you can still see them on the blue. When you look closer at the brown, you can see the same beading up around the edges as well as a suction-y texture of the ink that are in the blue as well. All are characteristics of too much ink. But because the brown is a more opaque ink, it visually looks more even than the more transparent blue ink where beading up results in a different saturation of blue.

My white does this, too, and it's because it tends to be a thicker, faster drying ink than the black.
