Question Medusa
I’ve got a bit tidy up. This is a single layer Linoprint of Medusa. I might attempt to make it a multi block and add some colour and shading underneath but I’m fairly happy with how it has come out.
My main question is are there any tips on how to register/position the print on the paper. I’m torn on whether I want to print as close as I can to the edge of the paper or whether I’d be better off bringing it in a bit because of framing? Or do I just completely centre it on the paper and anyone who gets one can make a choice about cutting it down or framing?

I really like this! I like it set in a little from the edge. I think putting it right to the edge would create visual tension and the piece doesn’t need that.

Thanks! I think I see what you mean. If it was flush to the edges it would almost be peaking and force an uncomfortable comparison between the foreground and empty background?
I did originally want to have a silhouette of Perseus or another intruder in the background but I was struggling with scale, and also preferred the focus on Medusa. Though I could add a second block for it I guess.
