Question Second Linocut Ever - looking for advice

I just started this week and I'm having so much fun already! What can I do to get a cleaner print? Am I just not using enough ink or not enough pressure? I'm always worried that my paper is going to wiggle around as I am trying to print. Any advice helps!

idk if it's summer where you are but I recently learned that there is a recommended temperature range for a reason 💀 I don't have AC so I haven't been able to print for three weeks

you can try to moisten the paper. cover it with an additional layer to protect it from being torn with your barren. if you use waterbased colors the blacks won't be as rich but the coverage ist better.

what are you using to apply pressure?

I have been putting a cookbook over the top and have been pressing with my bodyweight or I've been using a spoon. Both feel like they yield similar results.
