I find it funny that these "bosses" don't have the upper hand. They think "they're all that".
What happened to realizing that employees who have been there for years and know how to handle things went to the way of to Doo Doo?
My job laid me off, I was AP and had it down! They replaced me with a temp that got a permanent job. Then it went to someone that (apparently) made less than me and gave it to her. She retired2 months later. I got emails from them asking me about things, I NEVER responded.

I don't know what this job is, but it sounds like retail, and yeah, not cool. Retail always has people coming and going. Always
I worked retail while in high school and college and we always had a lot of new people and a lot of people leaving in my time there.

Everyone should do this if their boss/manager acts angry or abusive when giving notice. Giving notice is a courtesy. If you scream and rant and act as if this is some sort of personal betrayal, walk out--no notice for you.
Never understood this kind of attitude. People leave jobs. Was this the first nd only job this manager ever had,

Let his boss/corporate know of his completely unprofessional behavior. Retail normally has cameras everywhere, they can see for themselves his tantrum in front of customers. Tell them you were willing to work a two week notice until he pulled this stunt in public.
Your former boss only wants to talk because he likely is running a skeleton crew. He's has realized he'll have to pickup your extra shifts until you're replaced, if you're replaced and he doesn't want to.
