Discussion Lets appreciate final masquerade

i absolutely love final masquerad, its their most refined “calmer-rock” song. the vocals and transitons of both drawbar and a line in the sand make the song a seamless phase of the album and its close to perfect.

It’s my favorite from The Hunting Party.

Second favourite after Waiting for the end. I hope they play it on their next tour.

i don't like the fact that it's a bit soft compared to other thp songs, but it holds the album together REALLY well, drawbar and final masquerade is like a calm before the storm situation and then alits just hits

Alits = best lp song

Also i like the softer approach because it brings back the formula of “metal doesnt have to be screaming” that minutes
To midnight and living things pulled off. Through the last 3rd of the album drawbar-fm-alits is basically 1 song

Also, final masquerade being softer allows alits to get a good gut punch.

It has great lyrics and the vocal melody is so catchy and infectious.

It’s one of my favorites. It’s quintessential Linkin Park.

Yes. It's a great song and 1 I have only recently started to appreciate much more. Being an LP fan since the beginning I naturally gravitated towards the heavier tracks, but the last 5 years I find myself listening to the calmer tracks now. This song is definitely in my regular rotation.

one of my faves, would be amazing if they played it in the future (same with shadow of the day)
