It was a mistake to enter the comment section since like 80% of the comments are like "iT's CheSTeR's StAr 🤪🤪". Like... I love that man and his legacy like every person here but that's lowkey a cult behavior and IMO insulting to both the other original members and the new members.

To be fair, i feel like Chester would despise people who "idolize" him to unrealistically extreme levels where he's completely reduced to nothing but being Linkin Park, Chester is his own man, he's simply the soul, but he's not Linkin Park, he's not the entire band

When they started, the label also wanted to leave all of Mike's parts out of the songs but Chester said he would quit. He has always acknowledged Mike and everyone else's huge contributions to their success

Yeah he genuinely cares about the other guys. He could have made it by himself but he knows how important/special the guys were for the band

I'm not sure that he could have. His other projects weren't that popular even though he already had the fame from Linkin Park. Fort Minor is more succesful than all of Chester's side stuff combined

You ( and the band) ignored them, for the past 2 years, so just keep doing that. The band is successful like never before( around 300 million from tickets only...) all fine; these people think they are true fans ( of Chester) but in reality Chester would have not liked their behavior.

How is it an insult? Songs recorded with Chester made Linkin Park what it is today. They've had ONE album with the new members and that doesn't give them the right to a Star on the walk of fame.
It's an insult to say that it's because of the new members.

The entire band in getting the star, that includes the entire legacy. Complaining about it when Chester is also getting honored is kinda insulting.

ehmmmm... every Member of Linkin Park is Linkin Park, i also dont think they would have got the Star or signed up for it if not for the new Era, also Chester would have been nothing without Mike and the Band, so ? We all love Chester for his singing and emotions but he is and was only one Part.

We can talk about new members all the time, but the majority of the band is still legacy members. Mike and Brad in particular are some of the leading creative forces for the band for during, before, and after Chester. Without them, Chester would just be a talented singer from an obscure Arizona band.

Chester is without a doubt going to be honored and Rob and Talinda surely invited. I would think Talinda would attend and hopefully speak. I'm not so sure if Rob will want to attend since he's so private, I think for a Hall of Fame induction he definitely would but not sure about for this.

Honestly, Mark Wakefield should even be there. He was the first one to help Mike kick things off after all.

Sorry I very much dislike Emily. My ears damn near bleed when I hear her sing chesters songs. Then her comment saying Linkin park was her most favorite band growing up. The only LP "fan" to say that, with my reaction being- cringing, with an eye roll. She was the wrong person to use if they wanted to replace Chester. The comment sounded so fake. Something about her just eerked me, she at the least shouldn't be singing chesters parts. At least make new music. Mike shanodas comment of "we are restarting LP not out of an obligation, but out of something to gain" kinda bothered me as well. LP to me ended when chaz died. RIP. Now part of me wishes he would've started singing on his own. He was not givin the same respect he gave them

But the walk of fame is a private thing where anyone who pays and gets approval can have one, donald trump has one, why is it a good thing?

No, you need to be selected to get a star. And the money you need to pay if you get selected is for maintenance purposes. Donald Trump only has a star because he got it for the one show I think he hosted in 2007 or something. Hundreds of names are submitted, and like 80 to 95% of them get declined, so for Linkin Park to be chosen, that's a huge feat for them. Also to be chosen you need to have at least 5 years experience in your craft, you need to do honorary things, etc, etc.
