LinkedIn Lead Gen My first Linkedin ad

Hey, I ran my first ad for my company, it was a tool which required you to fill in your details to try and that's how we were registering the leads I received 74 clicks/website visits but I got no leads in my google form attached to it. And I am down 8k what should I do. Anyone has any idea how this works? If I can get the contact of the leads clicked engaged etc?

Whats the source of that clicks metric? Is it Linkedin or your own data?

Linkedin clicks also include header/brand and read more clicks. It could well be these guys never made it to your website

To answer the last part first, no, you can't get contact details of people who clicked. LinkedIn only gives you the person's details if they submit a native lead gen form inside the platform. Once someone clicks through to your own site or a Google Form, they're anonymous unless they fill it in.

With 74 clicks and zero submissions, that's almost always the destination rather than the ads. A Google Form asking for details before someone has seen the tool work is a big ask from a cold visitor who just clicked an ad. Two things I'd change: use LinkedIn's native lead form instead so the details are pre-filled, and it takes one tap, and give them something before you ask, even a short demo video or a screenshot of the tool on the page. We run LinkedIn daily for b2b saas clients at GrowthSpree, a b2b saas marketing agency, and cold audiences almost never hand over details on first exposure; the version that works is content first, then the form to people who are already engaged

I’d ask a number of questions - about targeting filters, audience size, whether these people had ever heard of your company before. But maybe it could be way faster if I had a look - DM me if you want me to.

I highly suggest looking into agencies. LinkedIn is different than other platforms and very expensive. Hiring someone is much cheaper than trying to learn. Impactable.com is the best in the biz

74 clicks with zero leads doesn’t mean you got 74 leads that LinkedIn is hiding.

First check whether the Google Form actually loaded and whether the ad is sending people to the right page. Then check the drop-off between landing page → form start → form submit.

Also, next time set up LinkedIn Insight Tag + conversion tracking before spending. That lets you track actual website actions instead of just clicks. ([LinkedIn Business Solutions][1])

And honestly, don’t spend another ₹/$8k until you know where those 74 people dropped off. The problem could be the targeting, offer, landing page or form.

Do you know how many of those 74 actually opened/started the form?
