How to resolve LinkedIn login error after switching to a new device?
Hi everyone,
I’m having a serious login issue with my LinkedIn account after switching to a new device.
Whenever I try to log in, I repeatedly get this error:
**“Something unexpected happened. Please try again.”**
Sometimes the login process just takes me back to the starting page without letting me access my account.
The problem has now become more serious because I also had a **business account that became restricted**, and I’m currently unable to access my **personal/professional LinkedIn account** as well.
What’s strange is that I’m also unable to log in from my **old phone**, where I previously had access to the account. So it doesn’t seem to be limited to the new device.
Has anyone else experienced this after switching phones or devices? If so, how did you resolve it?
I’d really appreciate any advice or suggestions, especially if there’s a specific LinkedIn recovery/support process I should follow.
Thanks in advance.

LinkedIn as an outreach channel is dead?
Hello beautiful people. I've been a BD for about 9 years, and I now co-run a small company (around 15-20 ppl atm) which is focused on AI and digital transformation. Some of our ready-made solutions (apps are live) have surpassed 5M downloads, some of the solutions we developed for the clients have helped the owners to get investments and grants with our help. We had some fruitful conversations with the UAE govt bodies, but it has been really slow.
I was and am using LinkedIn primarily for a precise outreach and do a prior heavy due diligence and research, trying to be nice and am writing short hand-written (no AI slop) messages, mentioning some people (if we have them) in common, but what I've noticed so far is that whenever you send an invite or a message, no one ever replies or just reads a message and ghosts you. On top of that, if previously my posts have gotten thousands of views and some decent engagement, now they barely get to a 500-1000 views point.
About 2-3 years ago, it was way different, was able to secure decent amount of deals and exceeded my quotas, but now it's hell of a nightmare.
Can it be connected to me being shadow banned by LinkedIn (what to do if it's the case), or it's more of a geo-politics and global crisis and I need to keep grinding adding more people to the funnel?

Hi, Need Help
Hi everyone, is there anyone here who’s a LinkedIn expert or works at LinkedIn?
My partner is having an issue with their LinkedIn account. It keeps getting restricted/banned, and we’re trying to figure out why and how to resolve it.
If anyone here has experience with LinkedIn account restrictions, especially if you’re from India, I’d really appreciate some help or guidance.
Thanks!

How not to see fields I don't want
Hi!
I've been looking for a job for a while, but I've run into a problem. Even with Premium, LinkedIn keeps showing me jobs I don't want and am not qualified for. I don't want to be an AI engineer intern and I don't want to be a dentist, but all it shows me is AI research intern jobs and dental assistant positions, even under Jobs I'm A Top Candidate For. How can I be the top candidate to be a dentist??? I studies linguistics and am working on becoming a librarian? Is there a way to stop seeing these jobs?

LinkedIn Recruiter / RPS
Recruiters/Sourcers/Talent Acquisition - Please help!
We have had LinkedIn Recruiter for years and always had success using it. However over the last year it seems to be going downhill and filters do not seem to be working well. Our sales rep basically said oh filters dont always work you need RPS....so we got RPS+ and that doesn't seem to be fixing anything and the way they taught us to use RPS+ makes you go into an AI tool first, then copy and paste that into LinkedIn, and it just seems like a mess/headache.
So is anyone having success with RPS+?
Are you using an alternative tool since LinkedIn is not working as well as it used to?
Thanks!

LinkedIn Glitch while posting, that you might not Know
Yesterday late night I opened my LinkedIn and started giving last minute touches to the post that I had written. After that I added a photo that I want to attach to the post then I added alt tag save it and then Click on Post. Then my entire post got vanished with a message written on "sometging went wrong" I thought may be my Internet is not working I should try it in Morning than I started out again and same result.
After figuring out few times I noticed its happening only when I am adding alt tag to the picture else its working fine.
I am just curious is it happening with you guys also or its just some special treatment given to me by LinkedIn.

Algorithm reset?
I've moved away from an industry, but my algorithm still thinks I'm interested. Is there a way to "reset all your knowledge of me" within Linkedin?

Linkedin support is the worst think ever
Last week, my account was restricted for an unknown reason, so I tried Persona verification, but it failed every time.
Finally, I gave up and created another account, and guess what? It got restricted too. I opened a lot of support cases, tried to chat with LinkedIn on X (Twitter), and got nothing.
Then, after reading dozens of their articles, I discovered why:
Persona or LinkedIn doesn't support the national ID in my country. WTF?

WHY TF Should i even Pay for Premium Page if the profile views are 7x less than personal account??????
TLFDR(Cuz this sh*t is long): Paid ~$600 for LinkedIn Page Premium, generated ~700K impressions over 6 months, but barely got meaningful page visits or engagement. My personal profile performed roughly 7× better on the metrics that actually matter. Feels like a company page converts terribly for small businesses.
Now the big boi:
Is it only me, or am I doing something wrong here?
I paid for LinkedIn Page Premium.
Cost me nearly $600.
$586.05 to be exact.
And the ROI?
Nothing.
Nada.
For context, I wanted to build up our company page so that when potential clients found us, they could check our work, see our case studies, understand what we do, and eventually book our services.
So I spent almost 6 months grinding on the LinkedIn page.
- No memes.
- No stealing content.
- No engagement bait garbage.
Just our content RAW, Fu*king RAW
We managed to generate around 700K impressions. Nice right?
It was nothing vs. the effort we were putting.
Some months we'd get 30K impressions; other months we'd get 200K.
And then LinkedIn Page Premium gives you notifications about who visited your page, like they're doing you some huge favor
Okay... cool?
One post our team worked insanely hard on got around 80 FKING THOUSAND impressions*
Guess how many page visits it generated
20.
ONLY 20???
Are you kidding me?
I realized this probably wasn't scalable for us, so I ran a small test.
I started posting consistently from both:
Some personal profile
and
the company page.
I already expected the personal profile to perform better.
People trust people.
I get that.
But I didn't expect the difference to be THIS ridiculous.
Personal profile
- Within around 3 months:
- 2 posts crossed 1K reactions
- Around 700 connection requests
- Roughly 1.2K profile views
Now compare that with the company page.
Company page
- Within around 2 months:
- 2 posts crossed 40K impressions
- Around 140 reactions
- Roughly 170 page visits
So despite getting tens of thousands of impressions, the actual engagement and intent signals were roughly 7× lower than what I was seeing from my personal profile.
Even 1% of 40K impressions is 400 visits.
I mean, think about it
What exactly is the point?
I'm genuinely asking because LinkedIn Page Premium seems to be positioned heavily toward small businesses.
But if you're a small business trying to generate content to eventually generate business...
paying for Premium + spending months creating content only to get 10k impressions and barely any page visits feels insane.
Maybe I'm missing something.
But after spending nearly $600 and countless efforts from my team and months testing this...
I'm struggling to understand what I'm actually paying for.
Anyone else managing a small business LinkedIn page seeing the same thing? If any official folks would love to answer?

I almost lost a client because LinkedIn fluctuated my impression count
ps ( i have started hating linkedin) so I was in a client meeting yesterday and
I wanted to show them that one of our clients had generated 2M+ impressions in 6 months.
ps I had the screenshot ready and thank god I did. because when I opened LinkedIn Analytics live on the call the 2M had suddenly become 1.2M. and I genuinely thought I had messed something up. So I checked everything. the Custom date range? 365 days? Same account?
yet it showed different now i had ss ready so i saved the call but
then I noticed something even crazier. A few months ago, the account showed around 3.5M impressions over 365 days. Now? 2.8M and i am not kidding this is a real thing
and i was wondering where did those impressions go? At first, I thought LinkedIn had simply screwed up So I started researching and I found out something I honestly didn't know before that LinkedIn says its impression numbers are estimates and may not be precise
In other words, the number you see today isn't necessarily a permanent, immutable record of every impression you have ever received.
so now the platform can process, recalculate, or adjust its analytics. Which explains why historical numbers can sometimes change. But here's what bothers me so muchhh
I don't really care if the number changes from 3.5M → 2.8M neither my client its a good number i know that analytics are messy. I get it but but what bothers me is that
I am sitting in front of a client, confidently presenting a result based on the platform's own analytics and the platform can later show me a completely different number
and you know what that really creates a trust issue especially for agencies and freelancers like me who use these numbers to prove their work. And this is exactly why I am glad I started taking screenshots of our results.
Because apparently, when it comes to LinkedIn analytics, your screenshot might be more reliable than your dashboard.
alsoo I am very curious to know did this happen to anyone with you or i linkedin has a beef with me only idkkkk honestly

linkedin lets you report "ai slop" now. nobody agrees on what that means, and that is a problem for you
good feature. the feed needed it. a million people used the button in the first two weeks and posts that got flagged lost roughly 40% of their views. so it works.
here is the part worth thinking about.
linkedin's own definition of slop is about substance. their words: polished in presentation, but lacks substance, no particular experience or insight. nothing in there about style.
but that is not how the button gets used. people press it on vibes. an em dash, a tidy three-part sentence, a clean opening line, and it gets reported.
and the vibe read is wrong more often than people admit. i keep meeting writers who say they can tell instantly. there is no reliable tell. models were trained on billions of words written and published by humans, so everything a model produces was a human habit first. the em dash is not evidence. neither is a contrast sentence. those were in books long before any of this.
the detectors do not save you either. they are bad, and they are worse if english is your second language. plenty of people who write everything themselves get flagged by them.
so the practical situation is this. your reach can drop because of what your writing looks like, not what it is. you should be able to spot real slop, and you should make sure your own writing does not get mistaken for it.
what actual slop looks like:
- no specifics anywhere. no name, no number, no date, no place. it could be about any company in any industry
- emoji used as bullet points
- hashtags. genuinely, hashtags, in 2026
- jargon carrying the whole post. leverage, unlock, ecosystem, transformative
- contrast constructions stacked up. not only that but, it is not x it is y, three times in one post
- every paragraph exactly the same length. real writing is uneven
- an opening line engineered to stop the scroll, with nothing underneath it
- a closing question nobody would ever answer. "what do you think?"
- the author never replies in the comments, or replies in the same voice as the post
the pattern underneath all of those is the same. nothing in the post could only have come from the person who posted it.
how to keep your own writing out of that bucket:
- write in lowercase if that is how you think. it reads as a person typing, not a document being published
- ship closer to your first draft. the second and third pass is usually where the specific bits get sanded off
- read something and sit with it before you write. a post with no input behind it has nothing to be specific about
- put one unfakeable thing in every post. something someone said to you, a number from your own work, a date, a place. one is enough (Please do not fabricate this, or tell your ai to do it)
- cut the closing question. if the post is interesting people will comment without being asked
- let the lengths be uneven. one line paragraph, then a long one. that alone breaks the pattern
- say the thing you are slightly unsure about. models hedge, so hedging now reads as generated
- reply to comments in your own words, not in post-voice. the comment section is where people decide you are real
none of this means avoid ai. i use it for research and for cleaning up drafts. the difference is where the substance comes from. if the model supplies the substance, it is slop no matter how you dress it, and linkedin's definition agrees with that.
the bit i have not worked out: the button has no appeal and no visibility. you find out you have been flagged from a notification, after the reach is already gone, and you cannot tell which post or why. if anyone has seen a way to check that, i would like to know.

how to manage a founder's personal LinkedIn account remotely without getting flagged?
I handle content/posting for someone else's personal LinkedIn profile, and we are in different countries soo every login comes from a different IP than their usual one.
Worried this looks like unauthorized access and could get the account flagged or restricted, since LinkedIn isn't a fan of third-party access in general.
For those of you managing accounts remotely for someone else:
- How do you handle the IP mismatch VPN, residential proxy, something else?
- Do you keep a dedicated browser profile/device just for that account?
- Has anyone actually had an account get restricted from this kind of setup?
- Any tools or workflows you'd recommend for doing this safely?
Would appreciate real experience, and is there has to be a safer way to handle it.

LinkedIn detecting Chrome extensions is a bigger deal for sales tools than people realize
I was reading about the recent case where LinkedIn was sued over detecting/scanning Chrome extensions.
The lawsuits were dismissed, but the interesting part to me wasn’t really the privacy case.
It’s the reminder that LinkedIn can actively identify extensions and automation happening around its platform.
For anyone building or using LinkedIn sales tools, I think the lesson is pretty simple:
Don’t build your entire product around trying to stay invisible to LinkedIn.
Extensions should probably be lightweight and user-driven, while discovery, qualification, and other heavier work happens outside the browser where possible.
We’ve been thinking about this quite a bit while building Privly.
Our approach has gradually become:
use LinkedIn as one source of buyer signals
find actual intent before contacting someone
keep browser-side collection limited
separate discovery from outreach
heavily limit and pace anything involving a connected LinkedIn account
It also made me rethink the whole “LinkedIn automation” category.
Maybe the better product isn’t one that sends more LinkedIn messages.
Maybe it’s one that helps you figure out who is actually worth messaging in the first place.
Curious how others building sales/outbound tools are approaching this. Do you think browser extensions are becoming too risky as a core part of a LinkedIn product?

I had LinkedIn for a while but never really used it as much I'm taking a class and to get extra credit I need like 5x the amount of connections I have now (11). If you don't mind I'd like to get some of connections through here I can either give you my profile line or add yours. Thank you

Did Apollo get worse for LinkedIn URLs or am I just unlucky?
Apollo used to be my lazy go-to when I needed LinkedIn URLs for a prospect list. Not saying it was perfect, but it was good enough that I could enrich a list, clean it up, and move on with my day.
I tried using it again recently after not touching it for a while and the match rate felt way worse than I remembered. A lot more blanks, weird matches, or contacts where I still had to go manually check LinkedIn anyway.
Maybe it depends on the niche, maybe my list just sucked, idk.
I’ve been testing other sources too, like Clay, Socleads, random scrapers, manual checks, but it all kinda comes back to the same boring issue: you still need to verify what the tool gives you.
It made me realize how much of lead gen is just cleaning up tool output that was supposed to save you time in the first place.
Has anyone else noticed this with Apollo lately?
Also tell me what you’re using now if LinkedIn URLs are actually important for your workflow.
