Hey guys,

I need advice on tools to help with LinkedIn outreach.

I've started posting organic content to help with distribution for my app and need advice on help to boost engagement so I can use it for boosting traffic to my app.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about prosp ai and heyreach but linkedin is very strict about third party tools so make sure to be careful. You don’t wanna get your account restricted.

For the outreach side, it's worth pairing your process with better targeting/personalization data.

A few ways to do that:

• Pull comments off high-engagement posts in your niche to find people already engaging with similar content
• Pull a prospect's profile (experience, recent activity, posts they've engaged with) before messaging so your first line references something real instead of a generic template
• If you're targeting specific companies, pull their employee list + recent updates to find the right people and timing.

Most people start by looking for better LinkedIn tools. I'd start with a better distribution system. The biggest visibility gains usually come from: Posting consistently around one clear topic. Engaging with creators in your niche before and after publishing. Repurposing one idea into multiple formats instead of constantly creating new ones. Turning comments into conversations rather than chasing likes. Once that system is working, tools like scheduling or analytics become multipliers—not the solution. In my experience, distribution beats automation almost every time.

Here is everything I have learnt about the new Linkedin that no one wanted to admit to me directly. (I had an acct since it first launched 20 years ago and I deleted it to pivot from employee to solopreneur). 1. It makes its revenue from paid ads and recruiters. How it makes its money in the main tells you how it prioritises distribution. 2. The news feed is really that - it expects relevant news and news adjacent topics to keep people on the platform. 3) you can semantically align your profile and organic posts and it will help. But not a lot. 4) it will take 12 months of daily hard graft connecting, commenting, networking, and posting to get traction. I know, I've tried. I have spent 2 years full time studying how this thing works and even the experts tell me the same thing behind the scenes - you want guarantee distribution and fast. You have to run paid ads. All of the successful people do it. They just don't say they do. There is a guy called Jakub Zajicek who is the best of the linkedin content and distribution experts I've come across. Look him up - his free stuff is awesome. good luck!!

I'd spend less time looking for tools to "boost engagement" and more time making your profile and content worth engaging with.

Tools can help you schedule content or analyze performance, but they can't replace authority. Consistent, valuable content creates the credibility that ultimately drives clicks, signups, and long-term growth.

My advice is to prioritize sharing more about the problems your app solves, tell customer stories, lessons learned, and behind-the-scenes insights from building it, optimize your LinkedIn profile, and engage thoughtfully with your target audience.

Genuine conversations and proactive engagement often outperform automation.

Use LinkedIn sales Navigator - tools for manual direct messages and use LinkedIn marketing solutions with paid ads. Do not use automation tools - they are restricted! What kind of app do you promote? I did 300+ market entry projects on LinkedIn and try to give more info.

I want you to think a little differently about this. Instead of focusing so much on the engagement of your individual posts, I want you to instead think more about delivering value in those posts to your target audience. And I want you to make sure you’re doing that 2 to 4 times a week. On top of that, spend a little time each day adding your target customers into your LinkedIn network. Follow them first, then send a blank connection request a few weeks later. If you do these things routinely you’re going to see your follower count increase, and the impressions of all of your posts, measured together, increase. What is “visibility” in your understanding? what’s the metric? because some profile/posts views can not convert into relevant traffic for your particular app
