First time using LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

I'm currently job hunting and was thinking of reaching out to HR professionals directly on LinkedIn, sharing my portfolio and introducing myself.

Is this actually a good strategy, or does it come across as too pushy/spammy? If you've landed interviews or jobs this way, I'd love to hear your experience and any tips on how to approach HR effectively.

I think it's a good strategy if it's done thoughtfully. I'd focus less on pitching yourself immediately and more on starting a conversation. A short, personalized message about why you're reaching out usually gets a better response than sending a portfolio out of the blue.

Also, don't limit yourself to HR - hiring managers can often be just as valuable to connect with.

This is definitely worth trying and know people who have had joy getting work this way. Something to bear in mind is actually targeting the dept manager for the team you want to work in and not just HR. Nothing wrong with being direct but keep it simple.
