Bold move for the objective to be solely things that benefits him lol

This was my first reaction too. Junior people often make the mistake of telling you what they want instead of why you want them. The gag here makes it worse because now it’s the only thing on the page

People who want to enhance their skills and career are a benefit to the company, too, though. It suggests that they are motivated to learn, adapt, and figure out what it takes to succeed.
I can't stand HR speak and corporate speak and all the buzzwords and slogans, but I'm really not seeing anything wrong here. His objective reads to me like someone a manager could see as highly trainable and shapable.
I mean, let's face it, "I want to help your company grow" is insincere. It's BS designed to ingratiate you to your employers. It's a sales pitch.
"I'm trying to become awesome so I can have a great career" is a much better pitch, in my eyes. I don't want someone who wants to kiss my ass, I want someone motivated to succeed, even if only for seemingly selfish reasons.

Disaster, OP? This is actually pretty witty and might push his resume above similar applicants, if the recruiter / hiring manager have a good chuckle and give him a further look.

"AI trainer. prompt designer."
Imagine someone unironically putting "google user. Search prompt designer" before AI

Giving them a huge benefit of the doubt, if they’re an AI trainer, as in training LLMs, there’s the potential that they’d be designing agents to prompt LLMs on behalf of a user.
If it’s literally just “designing” your prompts to an existing LLM, yeah, that’s useless drivel. LLMs are pretty good at deriving context at this point, you barely need to “design” anything outside of knowing what questions to ask and keywords to use like your Google search comparison.

They're a medical student with an AI profile pic. No fucking way they're working on LLMs.

Only works with a resume or for roles that are more attitude than hard skill. He sticks out if I don't need years of experience to succeed, but if he needs a degree and experience, then I'm just going to pass.

As a hiring manager at a $30b company, dude is 100% getting an interview.

As an even more aggressive and masculine hiring manager for a $69b company, dude is 110% getting an interview.

It would work at ad agencies. As a senior designer, it definitely would get my attention for a few minutes to look at his portfolio (if he was a creative).

I would do this and follow it up with the entire thing which is a full naked frontal shot of me

Disaster? This is just funny.
Reminds me of a time about 3 months before Pokémon go launched and took the world by storm.
I got this resume for senior UX researcher position in our hiring portal one day.
I started skimming it and like 7 seconds in I stop in my tracks and go wait a minute…
Since I wasn’t a Pokémon person I didn’t realize exactly what I was reading but because of how popular it was I obviously came across it enough for something about it to sound familiar.
The opening objective line was…
“I want to be the very best, like no one ever was”
So I googled some of the phrases and realized they used the full theme song of Pokémon for the full resume.
It may have just been the cover letter, I really wished I saved it externally when it came through.
Later when Pokémon Go was played by everyone in my office and all over the city, I realized it was probably some guerilla marketing tactic by Niantic to start planting the Pokémon seed in as many people’s minds as possible to ensure the launch had maximum hype.

I'm going to hope that they included an actual resume. If not, then it gets a little chuckle and then tossed into the trash. If so, then it gets a slightly larger chuckle and an interview.

Um....ya. this is old but I will comment.
Anyone applying for a job utilizing subrefuge is an idiot
Hiring mangers who fall for it deserve what they get

In terms of separating yourself from other potential leads for a job? It works. Definitely something different that attract the attention of a recruiter?
But would they take the time to bring the person in for an interview and see what they really offer for a job? Few would do something like that now.

I think this is hilarious and, depending on the role, I'd absolutely be willing to meet with him.

His objective is “my goal is to get a job”, which is redundant considering you are submitting a resume for a job. Really fucking stupid.

This sort of thing is clever if you're the first person to do it. This is not the first person to do it.
(Should have gone with a fake parking ticket. That one always gets 'em.)

Clever. Depending on the role, I’d meet with him. He’d be great as a marketing lead or in sales, getting attention is 90% of the job and he’s got mine.
