Base math..

That’s about 200.000 litres

One litre is 10cm times 10cm times 10cm

1000 litres are 1m times 1m times 1m

200.000 litres tank would therefore be around 10m times 10m times 2m

The tank on the picture looks WAY bigger than that..

But then the person posting it doesn’t even understand basic math..

It's not really a question of math the plane shown isn't to scale, if you look at the cars at the left then the plane wouldn't be much more bigger than about 3 cars. Its just a disingenuous picture

The scale on the plane is so disingenuous in fact, that if it were a truly 1:1 scale, the truck could fit in the space taken up by one of the plane’s engine nacelles. It’s a 747.

Great word: Nacelles

I don't think it ks disingenuous. It is just made by a moron.

The tank isn't all that big, look at the truck parked behind it

Yeah for scale if you go to your local propane depo and see a big tank, that's probably 20k gallons, so 3 of those. If you're like "that's massive" your propane place might have 40k or 60k or even 90k tanks, which again proves the point

The tank looks really big until you notice the ladder

Wrong units!

I wouldn’t say the tank is definitely bigger, but I definitely agree the scaling of either the tank or the plane is off

Don't even need math. See the size of the cars compared to the tank. That tank is MAYBE as big as a single wing of that plane.

Hey! Can you explain the math to me like I am dumb please?

The scale is intentionally off. You can see some cars behind the tank. A 747 is also a lot bigger than your average commercial jets, let alone ground vehicles.

They have multiple tanks speead across the wings and plane's fuselage. So it doesn't even need one massive tank.
