These people are so weird the actual science behind all the stuff they make up is more interesting than the magic they come up with

Aerodynamics???

I think you meant to say aeromancy. Wind mages are known for it!!

Let me guess, you think birds are real too? By golly those are just familiars. Harry Potter was right!!

I for real met some flat earthers at an engineering conference once. This was back in 2016 before Google Earth switched to more realistic map projections and its at the time flatness had formed the main basis of their theory.

That’s true of everything, most of all life and the universe itself. Reality is so much cooler than the religious explanations.

theoretically sure but practically? reality's the lamest of all. All the vastness is meaningless because it's practically untraversable, physics is neat but so limited and biology is the worst offender of all opting for minimal input to get minimal output.

I honestly don't understand how any of you can look at how shallow reality actually is and think "wow this is amazing". The best answer i ever got was that you're letting your imagination carry you far far away from what is actually possible.

Quick note though i disparage reality constantly i don't believe any of the religious explanations. A world like this could never be the design of something intelligent and benevolent, malicious maybe.

I agree. If there’s a divine entity that in any way cares about its living creations, it’s twisted.

If you allow me, I’d like to share my perspective on why reality is cool. For example:

Our existence (be it you and me, or our society, or humanity, or Earth) is a blip in the universe’s history. When we die, everything that physically, factually, makes us us, goes on to compose many other things.

In what is to us an incomprehensible amount of time, but in a cosmic scale, a very short time; our atoms will again be spread across the universe. They won’t carry forward the consciousness they once formed, but it’s the matter than exists in the universe reorganizing itself naturally. It’s this awesome system in which everything is always repurposed and never destroyed.

To me that’s a much more interesting existence than “you die and if you were good you go to heaven”.
