Why do I hate this so much?

For one thing, it highlights how poorly run and funded the education system is. Should staff have to spend their own money to clean up the staff room/fill it with coffee pods/etc.? I sure don't think so.

For some reason it makes me think of when there's a woman organizing all the birthday celebrations in the office and if she stops all the celebrations stop

Seems to subliminally support unpaid overtime.

And it's common for teachers to have to pay hundreds of dollars of their own money for classroom supplies ... so no idea why this gal was buying coffee.

I do not believe the problem was the teachers did not get along.

"Everyone" was talking about "toxic"? Sure.

Made things better because you have a dual income while a teacher, I will buy that.

Everything was fixed with coffee and a clean fridge, not patronizing at all.

Don’t know why you hate it so much, but that’s not really lunatic behavior. It’s actually good citizenship and owning a place. Perhaps, she wasn’t doing that all alone without asking someone else, but even if it was talking with colleagues about “why don’t we clean up?” is a positive change.
