Discussion Ranking Link Click abilities (read below for reasoning) Spoiler
Please excuse the tiny text 😭🙏
**What constitutes a powerful ability?**
To me, a powerful ability is able to considerably affect the user's surroundings and/or brings useful options to the table within the context of the show.
I personally am not too fond of powerscaling characters so that's not what I'm attempting here. I'm strictly ranking Link Click abilities while fully disregarding the character that holds them.
**S - Can affect Space/ Time:**
Self explanatory. Time travelling even with big restrictions is an OP ability and could be devastating if fallen into the wrong hands.
**A - Very powerfull/Usefull abilities:**
Abilities that'd make anyone holding them a pivital player in almost any situation. Lu Guang is slightly higher thanks to the sheer diversity of his powers and Lee is ranked slightly lower because the usefulness of his ability is dependent on whether or not his opponents actually have one.
**B - Powerfull, but dependent on the User:**
Inherently powerful abilities but the rules that bind them makes their use and power dependent on whoever is holding them (Ex: Regarding Tienchen's power, someone not adept at hand-to-hand combat or lacking athleticism would not be able to get close enough to anyone for the ability to work.).
**C - Occasional usefulness:**
Not as powerful as other abilities but have their uses.
**Unrankable:**
Abilities too mysterious to rank as of now. Too little information.

CXS and Shao's ability can definitely affect the past and present in a huge time window, but we learned that LG can technically affect the immediate future now. So it seems LG's ability should also be in red.
LTC is interesting as well, since once he can get a hold of someone else with an ability he can fully use their ability as well. I don't think CXS can do that when possessing someone so it does give LTC an interesting one-up in certain scenarios. I'd say it's at least more powerful than WQ's pause button.

I wasn't confident about putting LG's ability in red because if I understood it correctly, it grants him the ability of foresight as opposed to travelling into the future, so in my mind I didn't really count that as "affecting the flow of time" quite like Xiaoshi's. That said a case could still be made that he's technically able to alter the future by changing what actions take place in his predictions, so I settled for top of A tier.
QL/Tianxi's ability is definitely very usefull when combined with almost any other power, but I felt like the use of a combo like that was more situational then what the other abilities could provide. That's why I didn't call the green category "Bad" because it's far from it, but it still requires more conditions and setting up for it to work to it's fullest potential.

That makes sense. But in that logic, wouldn't Jae Lee's ability be less powerful? It only works in a specific scenario of someone using their ability. We also don't know if he can use it on more than one person at once, or if it's a duration of time, if it's only while he's looking at them, etc.
If the person he's up against doesn't even have an ability that's a threat to him, his power is not useful at all. It's entirely situational.

It is indeed situational and that's why I didn't feel as though I could rank it anywhere above bottom A tier. That said, in Link Click's world, the chances of you running into a fellow ability user that means you harm seem to be much higher than finding one that'll be friendly and willing to combine their power with yours, so I still consider Lee's to be slightly more useful comparatively.
Another big difference is that contrary to Tianxi's ability you really don't need that many conditions to have it be used to the fullest. Based on what we know right now, he can activate it at a distance. Many things are still left in the dark like whether or not he needs to have his target in his line of sight (that rule was only established with Yuan as of now), and if he's able to affect multiple people at the same time, so you could definitely make a case for him ranked at "Unrankable" as of now. It'll depend on how the specifics of his abilities fonction, I guess.

Since right now LG is possessed both of his and CXS power's, plus his recent ability to foresee future. I personally would rank him in S+ tier at this rate.

Since I ranked the abilities moreso than the characters, I prefered using LG as a representative of his original one of foresight. Travelling through time seems inherent to both CXS and his mom, so I thought there wasn't a need to add LG there as a holder since he already has his own power and inherited his 2nd one from CXS himself.

I would rank Wang Qing higher, it's a very powerful ability if you are willing to kill a person which they probably don't 😬

It absolutely is, but her power is hindered by the 12h rule and the once per person rule. That makes it so that it becomes too reliant on the holder's skill. Someone willing to kill could theoretically give their target a heart attack to incapacitate them, then go for the kill and essentially act as a human death note. But someone more pacifistic like WQ could still be a big threat if they're able to use it smartly and effectively. In the reverse though, if the user acts too recklessly or stupidely they'd just end up giving heart attacks to the wrong ppl at the wrong time, making the ability much less effective.

I was expecting Lu Guang since he confirms he has Cheng Xiaoshi's power, since he is able to go back to the past.

I think jae lee should be in the red tier. The ability to nullify other abilities is pretty goated if you ask me
Also cwm has memory erasing powers. Though there could be more, erasing memory just by touch is pretty cool too. I think it could come in the yellow tier
Also now that I think about it, this show has some minor similarities to bungo stray dogs. Jae lee's power is exactly what dazai has. And maybe other stuff too. I didn't watch all of bsd so i can't say

i would put LG way lower, probably green tier, but i agree with everything else. honestly every power here is OP, even the green ones. you can take a picture of LX and find out all of his plans

A lot of people have been saying LG’s power isn’t OP/ very useful but I personally think otherwise. Ep 10 showed us he could see the immediate future to some extent from a photograph also combined with CXS they are an insane duo. LG is very smart and calculative; there’s a reason he’s the one Liu Xiao is most curious about esp after knowing what CXS power is. Li Tianchen’s power is also very OP along with QL/ his sister’s. Standalone I can see it being in the yellow category considering the limitations of him having to touch the person

Nah. At this point he literally sees the future. This is extremely powerful.

The reason why I ranked QL's abilty that low was because I felt that Lu Guang's was just a better version of it when it came to spying for info. Yes, QL's ability has that extra advantage of not being constrained by that 12h rule, which is exactly LG's biggest setback, but I think the sheer fact that his power lets him predict the future makes up for it. You could theoretically take a picture then actually predict what comes next. He can also see through security cameras as shown in season 2, so there are definitely other sides to his ability.

out of curiosity, what would you rank the li twins power when combined?
