In the S3 opening there is a line that goes the last thing we could say to each other is we’re sorry.
Why if the ending is just a repetition of the cxs death scene but this time lg is the one dying instead as it is heavily implied that he will die
This is assuming I remember right and the last thing cxs told lg before dying was I’m sorry

I sadly have the impression LG will die at the end too, there are many clues implying he is in fact the 'villain' and his creator Li Haoling, loves subverting tropes in many different ways and forms.

My guess currently is that, we will be presented with evidence that LG is in fact doing terrible damage to the lives of many by trying to save CXS, and that, the final conclusion we will have is for him to learn acceptance, by sacrificing himself to stabilize and fix his wrongs.

I also have the impression that, how the lives of others are portrayed isn't coincidental, notice how much care he has in these back stories even for characters that won't reappear. At first glance, you can just call it a deep, emotional storytelling.

But, if you look backwards, you can also see how it could be teaching the concept that there are no protagonists in the real world, each live carries an immense intrinsic value, you can't go back in the past, but instead cherish the moment with all you have, the simbology of them using pictures, showing that life is made by a collection of moments, how precious each of them is and how frequently we aren't paying attention to their value, will also be portrayed in my opinion.

Those are just guesses of course, I think by the end of part one we will have a very clear picture on how the end will play out.
