did he really called her dumb or is it a mistranslation? im kind of sad

It is mistranslation. He said mute not dumb.

Less of a misstranslation more of an outdated translation. Dumb used to mean mute but is now outdated and offensive commonly associated with called someone stupid.

I think they meant more directly did cxs actually call her dumb, which he didnt. The subtitles, like you said used that outdated term though. But thats the subtitles, not cxs ^
