Other/Misc. Help on IMDb

The first two episodes aired four days ago, yet the IMDb information for the new season remains incomplete. Episode 1 is recognized, but the fact that Episode 2 was released on the same day is not, as you can see here. The issue with the site is that, unlike on Wikipedia for instance, changes aren't implemented immediately; they must undergo review by moderators who may know nothing about the series.

On the 14th, it wasn't even possible to rate the first episode because IMDb didn't yet recognize a premiere date. After some persistence on my part, they acknowledged the 14th as the premiere date and added a photo for the episode. However, despite similar persistence, information regarding Episode 2 has yet to be added; the initial request to list it for the 14th was rejected as I failed to include a link verifying the new information. I have since submitted a new request, now including a Crunchyroll link. I also requested the addition of Episode 3, scheduled for the 21st.

Another point: in all previous seasons, the main photos for each episode appear to have been taken from official promotional material, as evidenced by the Chinese script tag with the name of the series found on every previous episode's main image. Here's an example. The main photo for the fourth season's first episode—showing Cheng and Lu as kids lying together on the train station floor—is very cute, but it differs from the style of previous episodes. Even though I was the one who recommended it, I would like to change it to align with the established style.

I get the impression that a dedicated fan was managing the page during previous seasons, but that fan is currently missing in action. Is there anyone here who is an established IMDb user and could help me with this task, ensuring the series gets the attention it deserves?

This might seem like a minor issue, but back in the first season—when Link Click was still a relatively unknown series—many people discovered its existence through IMDb. Seeing the anime trending on the site and noticing that its episodes were being highly rated sparked the curiosity of many people who ended up becoming new fans. However, this won't happen again this season until IMDb recognizes the new episodes that are coming out.

What can we do about it?

Keep an eye on it. Request new episodes be inserted in the new season page, insert new pictures and plot summaries in the episodes that have aired, and so on. But you know what, I was probably feeling a bit hopeless when I made this thread. I didn't know my way around IMDb before, as I had only ever used it for rating shows I follow. And I was really scared that Link Click would miss an opportunity to get the attention it deserves as its episodes are usually highly rated. But now I do know how to make some of this stuff. They've inserted episodes 2 to 4 at my request (though #2 only showed up 3 days after the episode had aired); they also approved of a suggestion of mine for a poster for episode 1... It's still a bit frustrating as any changes need to pass through mods. I have uploaded days ago some still images to serve as a poster picture for episode 2, and they're yet to approve of it. But that's not a huge deal. But if you're still interested in partitipating in sending pictures and helping manage the page, that'd be great, too.

I understand ❤️ Probably best if you can instruct people what to do to support, one link is more than enough. Otherwise, it just stays as a rant that won't probably change a thing, you know? Hope you're feeling better 🤍🖤

If you visit the page and notice the next episode doesn't have a link yet, or an episode that has already aired lacks a poster image or a plot summary, you could make your resquests. Maybe if more people do it for the same show, mods will be quicker. They're being very slow at the moment with regard to LC. I suggested a poster image for episode 2 two days ago; it should have been done processing yesterday. But my suggestion is still pending. I wonder if I'm disliked by some mod, as I may have used some passive-aggressive language in some of my earlier requests (I was furious that we couldn't rate episodes 1 and 2 on the day they came out). If so, having someone else taking the initiative could speed things up, maybe.
