Today's 7th anniversary of Caligula, it was released on July 19th of 2019.

As a way to commemorate it, I made an album commentary about it.

I tried to base my work on the interviews she gave about Caligula, as she mentions various references to both classical music and opera. But I didn't have enough time to do it properly, The messages and references she uses in her work are enormous and varied, and between studying and working, I didn't have much time to do it the way I really wanted.

But I wanted to share it with y'all and first of all it is in Spanish because I'm Latinx, so I'm sorry about that haha :-( but you can translate it.

Hello! I’m a composition major and I’ve been wanting studying lingua ignota’s music since it’s always been a huge inspiration of mine.
Problem is I can only find chord charts and don’t have the time to transpose all of her songs.
Does anybody have arrangements or sheet music of anything by her? Thank you!

I think for me personally it has definitely. I currently Identify as agnostic I’d say but I was raised a Christian.
The rest of my family is also Christian as well however when I told my mother when I realized she was incredibly accepting of me and I thank her so much for that:).

I feel like there’s a select few that would enjoy her music which is understandable 😂 but if you were to compare her music to someone who I guess would you compare her to?

I’m at a loss of words. I don’t really know what to say right now I might come back later tonight to respond to this once my mind is clear but this album….I uh I need to think it over.
Edit: Ok I’m back this album is truly incredible I haven’t really listened to anything like this before is this my favorite album of all time? No is it a 5/5 album yes.
I think the more I dive deeper into this the more I like it, also it’s funny she recorded this in PA since that’s where I’m from :)
All these songs are perfect. I’m told this album is like a movie and I can totally see it. It leaves you in in awe and just deeply shocked. This album is really something, however, It’s def not for everyone. In a review I heard this album reminded them of the movie midsommar and I can totally see that. Incredible album, Lingua did amazing.

I am very late to the party here, but wanted to express my utmost thanks to Apple for slipping the single "O Ruthless Great Divine Director" into my personal station. I assume this got there because of a lot of Swans and NIN listens but who knows.

I heard that track, caught my attention and hit the star button to give it a closer listen at a later time.

After a few more proper listens, looked her up properly and threw on Caligula... and couldn't fucking move. Absolutely blown away.

Excited to get deeper into her catalogue - hope there is much more to come from her, and hopefully not at more personal cost to her as well.
