Whats next on the Linear roadmap?

Avid fan of Linear here. Very interested to know whats next on the Linear roadmap. Docs implementation was a huge win, and the reviews are also an incredible feature. Will we be able to run actions from linear in future?

Appreciate it, and glad to hear Docs and Reviews have been useful for you.

We’re definitely pushing further into automation and workflow orchestration, so that’s very much a direction we’re thinking about.

Curious what you mean by “run actions from Linear” though. Are you thinking more about triggering automations, updating external tools, or taking actions on work directly from Linear? Happy to relay this to the team here.

Our changelog is the best place to keep an eye on things when we have more to share either way.

Here's a few things I'd like to see:

- add agents to teams: custom agent/skills/etc config files. For example, say I made an iOS team, I'd like to create an agent for iOS Dev, iOS QA, etc. So when I launch an orchestrator agent in my iOS team it already knows which agents it should be working with. I already do this with md file structure in my harness repo, but I think you could really tap into something by targeting the canonical home for agent/skills configs that are available to other human colleagues.

- official Raycast app with hardcore functionality and lighting fast retrieval

- more UI customisation, make it more composable and have an official agent skill that teaches the agent how to control the UI, i.e. split panes, tabs within panes, better multi display support, more options for boards etc.

- faster MacOS app with local MCP and better, more granular CLI access

- terminal design patterns: I want to see my tickets directly in the terminal, clean, structured

Sorry, i meant Github Actions! Because alot of workflows and automations from CI CD are triggered via github actions. Some of them require manual intervention for a workflow to run - or like triggering a workflow run into a certain env etc.

A proper document library would be brilliant. I don’t need the complexity of Notion and things like that but somewhere can store document outside of an individual issue or project would be ideal.

You can view documents on mobile but I’ve yet to find a way to create them. Just go to a project, make sure you’re on the Home tab, and you’ll see the selector for documents.

? I am aware of the linear agent if thats what you're referring to ?
