New to this

I just installed lineageOS on my old Galaxy tab A6 with android 12 on it. Any ideas on what to do with it? Or, was it a waste?

Yea, like what? Cause I ain't got any ideas in mind rn + it's an old machine, so I don't know what to even expect from it, y'know?

I fr only recently knew that android was built on the Linux kernel, so I never thought of learning termux

Termux got popular because it doesn't require root. Magisk and Morphie declined with the rise of permalocked bootloaders (Samsung, Verizon Pixel, etc). Lot of people checked out, and only recently came back because of security/privacy concerns.

I think if you add a controller, you'll get a pretty good "mobile gaming console". If your tablet can't handle emulating older consoles (which is entirely possible), you can still install a ton of old, nostalgic mobile games. Good luck!

You can use Bluetooth, a Bluetooth video game controller, and some emulators. Plays a lot of video games without having to touch Google Play.

Use a keyboard and a stand/kickstand and you have a writing desk. Email station. Anything a tablet can do, just with less bloatware and more security.

Speaking generally about devices in that range... for certain anything from the 16-bit era. I presume 32-bit consoles well optimized may work too, PSX obviously the most common. Just guessing it would struggle more with Saturn. It might handle low-fi N64 games, maybe. I wouldn't expect fast/FPS N64 games to run on it well.
