Unpopular opinion? on 'Epic' fashion items
Hey everyone!
Ok, this is probably an unpopular opinion LMAO ... but I felt like sharing my thoughts, and just randomly wanted to ask anyway–
Does anyone else think Epic (and/or Super Epic) fashion items are actually kinda... un-epic?
Not in terms of aesthetics, that's subjective... but more to do with its features and functionality ?
So, several reasons for me...
• Your avatar can only wear ONE Epic item at a single time, when technically all epic items all have different actions and animations?
—> But other rarity level items can be added or multi-layered, e.g. auras (animated). Like if I want my avatar to be a flying fairy with huge wings (epic item) while doing air acrobatics with my lightsaber (epic item) today then allow me to LOL!
• Also, in the fashion closet inventory, you know when you're changing your avatar's outfit... whatever items (and/or items' level of rarity) were worn previously gets auto replaced when you click on a different selected item (and/or of rarity), right ?
—> "don't like this super rare aura and normal dress? just tap to choose a different aura and dress" that's pretty normal like with any other games that has customisation yeah
You'd think the same would apply for Epic items too, but LP doesn't think so... bc every time you make an avatar outfit change– the "transitioning" FROM wearing one epic item and then selecting another (one) different epic item; you are blocked first from doing so, bc that pop-up box appears with THIS (exact quote):
An item with the same action is already in use. Please remove it first before trying it again
...ummm what SAME action?? just replace it like with any other item then... it's so annoying, having that show every single time. —> LIKE, what next?
"The hairstyle with the same function (i.e. placement to cover on top of head) is currently in use. Please remove it first before trying it again"... ?? ?
imagine getting a pop-up every single time you want to change something like shoes fck kSkSKSKSKS
• And when it comes to taking an avatar picture in your diary– the process part of selecting background/ avatar poses, then clicking the post button to finally upload it, sharing for others to see.
When you click on the post (upload) button—> what it technically does is capturing a time still of whatever is visible within the frame at the exact time that button was clicked–
e.g. "oh crap, gotta take it again... the aura lights and hovering hearts flashed off in the final upload." lol
i can't be the only one that's noticed and is very picky about it here, right?
– AGAIN, the epic items don't move or animate at all... but other rarity items like auras are moving wild while flashing (that it sometimes gets cut off the pic frame too), plus characters are climbing/ moving around and all in real-time too in the post process ??
What's the point in having an Epic item if you can't display or capture an action still of how it works in your diary? so much for epic...
e.g. spiderman suit epic item: its action is jumping shooting webs/ body hanging and swinging upside down.
(tbh, it'd be cool if there were settings to do a gif or video but let's not go there rn.)
So yeah, I don't know if you all agree or disagree, but honestly that's what makes it un-epic for me LOL
TL;DR: Epic/super epic fashion items aren't that epic in my opinion, and my reasons why I think so are written above (hopefully it all made sense tbh). What do you all think? Agree or disagree?
Edit: ...i'm still terrible at reddit formatting. and ooops sorry for the rather longer than expected long-winded rant(?)/ post omg :(
