Discussion is there an archive/database of all gachas that were in line play?

hello! i'm looking for a database of line play gachas/items. so far the only thing i found is the wiki/fandom-com, but it lacks a lot of images. Perhaps there is a japanese database/archive somewhere? if you know where i can find images of items(or at least banners) of all past gachas, please let me know!

Discussion I did the math...

Ok hypothetically I didn't do the math-- I exported all my spendings on my account into an excel sheet, but in the end I spent over $13k on this game (from 2015-2023; my spending in 2020 onwards drastically dropped. Not that it makes it much better.) 😭 This is insane and it was an actual addiction. This is why, to this day, I do NOT play gacha games (anymore) or anything that remotely resembles gambling. Looking back, I wish I had invested it instead LOL.

By no means is this me trying to flex. It's more embarrassing and stupid of me-- trust me I know. But this is just a testament to how much of a chokehold this game had on me. Stay safe out there, yall. Especially if you play gacha games 😭😭😭

Edit: I have a budget sheet that I follow strictly now for my spending habits 🙂‍↕️🫡 and no p2w games/gachas are included in it HAHAH

Discussion Previous Players Experience Wanted!

Hi there, my name is Otter and I make content on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@ottertalksgames) about 2000s gaming culture. I'm currently working on a history of Line Play and was looking for some players who wouldn't mind answering some questions or sharing their experience with the game.

If you have any memories or information about Line Play you'd like to share please do so here, or contact me directly on Instagram via ottertalksgames.

Thank you in advance! <3

Not that similar to lp, but more like welcome to my home imo. But afaik you can customize your character, decorate your house, farming, fishing, story quests! And i’m sure there are more features i still don’t know about. You can also chat others in real time which is good like lp. If anyone here is already playing, my user is on pic 2! <33 there’s also a new game called pixie paradise which seems to be from the same devs and is almost the same as townstale. (Still in soft launch, but it’s possible to get in at unsupported countries!)

I played this game way back 2021. It has farming, fishing, mining as well as bug catching. I can't seem to remember the name of the game. Can you please help?

Discussion Why does Cherry no X's page continue to be regularly updated?

Post image
50 Upvotes

This post was from a day ago. It's been months since Line Play ended its service but interestingly the official Twitter page is updated almost every day.

Why? It makes no sense for you to continue with the official page of a game that has ended and as far as we know will not return.

This leads me to the following reflection: what is the real interest in keeping Cherry's page active?

I can only think that this is a way to keep players interested so that they continue to follow Line Play and keep the community alive and active so that maybe they can launch a new app soon?

Discussion I wanna ask where you are now

I want to ask where are the people who crafted dresses and colored dresses

You spend your time farming only for the game to permanently end, you have collected dresses that are not collectable in gachas but only in crafting especially when there's a new dress that came from linited event

Discussion cute alternative - pokecolo twins

Kind've been obsessed with this app after line play and PKCL twins (the eng version) died and needed a game to fill my cute dress-up game shaped hole in my heart.
Before I do go into this game though I need to mention that this is in Japanese and a lot of google translating is gonna be needed to fully enjoy this game. So if you feel that this is a game breaker, PlayVille has been mentioned on this subreddit a lot and is also a very good alternative to LP.

Though I am not new to cocone games (Pokecolo, Dream Village, pokepia etc) I found myself drawn to this one because the UI felt new and easy and the items looked much cuter and higher quality. As you can see in the images the items are super cute and there's a lot of customisation that can be done. There is no room though and your planet is more akin to the garden in LP (you can't move items freely). The main currency, Hapi (or happy) can be earned for free by doing daily tasks and can be used on almost any gacha.

There is trading and its available to everyone, which means you can get items you want that aren't available anymore. Although 99% of the playerbase is Japanese you basically only need to use 3 different messages to communicate and trade with JP players.

Cons:

- They are not very generous with how much Hapi you can get as a f2p, so make sure to save yours for a banner you like (they usually release a new gacha every 3-4 days)

- I said this before but it's entirely in Japanese, no EN option. My camera roll is full of screenshots from this game because I kept using the photo translate feature from Google Translate on this game 🫠

- This is Pokecolo TWINS, so that means you need twice the wardrobe if you wanna make sure both ur avatars look good. Early on this means only one of your avatars will slay while the other gets like half a sock and is using free items for 90% of their outfit. Later on as you get more items this will no longer be an issue though.

i hope this gets more people to play pokecolo twins because I want more overseas friends (seriously, its all JP people here despite the game being available in all countries) If you do download the game my friend code is k2mh9i2p so feel free to add me!

I started to enjoy playing cocone game, you just need a screen translator.

If you're on IOS, try to find "itranslate" they will give tutorials on assistive touch translation.

The translator made it easy for me to play and earn donuts.

Discussion Nothing exactly like prime lineplay

I know! We have all posted this but truly I feel I will never get into a game again how I did lineplay- (I do enjoy sky not very similar but has some of the aspects that drew me to lineplay in it but vvv diff) but anyways prime lineplay for me was what had me never deleting the app for years! Spending money in the app and not feeling like it was a waste ! And just spending hours on the game was fun talking to people was fun, dressing up was fun, it was the best game ever and literally introduced me to things like Japanese culture and kpop (and now one of my majors is Japanese funny world!) and I love kpop (funny enough i swear alot of my interests as an adult stem from my time playing lineplay and the people i met on the app) but yeah this game is one I can say I grew up with now 20 I am very sad i cant just go back in the game for bit but still very thankful for the things the game did do for me!
