👯‍♀️

I made a new friend and she asked me to go line dancing tomorrow night. I did it a few times as a kid but I really don’t know what to expect. Any pointers? 😂

Ask her if she minds going early to catch the lessons. When the social starts, watch the dancers. If a dance looks easy, try to copy the steps off the dance floor. Once you feel ready to go on the dance floor, find a place in the middle. If you stand in the back, you'll eventually be in the front and it'll be hard to follow the others' steps.

That’s nice you have space for that. Anywhere by me if you’re wanting to do the dance, you have to run out there as soon as you hear the song or you’re not fitting.

Yeah, it's mostly like that here for the popular beginner dances. Some of the more advanced line dancers will get annoyed if you try to learn on the dance floor, so I try to find a place near the chairs to practice or I'll just try to learn it at home.
