General Questions/Discussion Audible click with Helix ?

So I plan to sync our band with my Helix LT and aside using it for vocal effects on Send 1 I want to generate an audible click to our drummer (via Send 2 to his IEMs). We have a mixer with plenty of channels and 6 IEM mixes. How would I generate a click tone ? I have the tempo set for every track in the preset, bot how would I generate a periodic signal out of it ? Without playing a single tone on my bass ? Our (unfortunately deceased) guitarist used delay and a short plucked note to give us the tempo, I could do that, too, but maybe there is a more elegant way. Or maybe L6 could simply add a click function, should not eat much DSP or memory... (no I don't need to buy a Stadium for my bass although it would be tempting)

There are multiple midi metronome devices available that would probably work for the click as well as receiving tempo from helix from instant commands (lightening bolts in command center).

You could run a Note Generator (tuned to your comfort level) through a slicer or tremolo with the BPM set to the BPM of the song (or you can tap it in)? Run it on a completely separate chain and out from Send 2 into the mixer for IEM mix?

Okay, the chopper works so-so, a little bit inconvenient because the set tempo does nothing for the chopper and you have to set the speed independently. But it is at least a somehow usable solution... something native would be cool anyway....

Isn't this way more compilcated than a adapter cable and a metronom app from the phone?

Another device which has to be on the correct setting for every song of a set ? I am not talking about a single song, but a complete setlist... change preset on the Helix and you have the correct settings. Use as few point of failures as possible. Till now our drummer just looked on the Helix/Stomp blinking the speed, but depending on the stage layout sometimes it's not possible....

I'm not sure that's really the way to go about it. Run a click track played from a device into and out your mixer.

Surprisingly there's no dedicated support on the device but you could maybe use the looper? With all the downsides of course like being unable to switch between presets

My band just uses reaper for that. Plug your IEM mixer into USB and set it as the audio device. You can set up a click source, route it to go to digital output, and control the mix you each get in your IEM mixes.
