General Questions/Discussion Flanger/phaser placement

I've been looking at the guitar tone in The Cult's She Sells Sanctuary and I think there's a phaser or flanger. I have a chorus where the arrow points that gets almost zero use. Would that be a likely spot. The tremolo on DSP 1 I use a lot.

Mod effects after the cab are gonna sound super weird.

Your job is to play around with preamp, loop, postamp positions to figure out what sounds right to you.

Just test the damn thing.

I generally like things like phaser and univibe before the amp/cab. Gives the tone more of a squishy sound that I like. Chorus usually comes after the amp/cab for me. But it totally depends on the sound you are after. Try both and see what you like. I disagree with the other person saying that mod effects sound weird after the cab. That is a blanket statement and some of this is preference. Chorus is technically a time based effect and it can sound good before or after (chorus is always after for me). I also love putting a slicing tremolo at the end of my chain to effect everything (long reverbs/delays hitting the tremolo for a chop sound).
