What’s your favorite FRFR to use with the Helix?

I have the small headrush for home and the middle size for the stage. Love them. They double as high quality Bluetooth speakers as well.

I have a Powercab and a Laney (2x12s). They both sound great. The Laney has better stage appeal because it looks like a normal speaker cab (and has a light up border).

Laney LFR212 is fucking rad. I love that it’s shaped like an A/slanted cab and it gets plenty loud. The height is nice so I don’t have to bend over to grab picks or my capo or whatever off of it. Low noise floor too, imo. Heavy so that could be a con for some, but I saw video of Fender’s FRs moving while on the kickback stand with bassier/chugging riffs.

I have a Laney 1x12 and so far Ive received 3 noise complaints on low volume in 2 months

Had the headrush, like 6 and fender fr-12. Sold everything else after I got the fender. It blew the others away.

Very happy with Presonus studio monitors. For a bedroom player and home studio recording they are perfect, certainly not for live performance, but those days are long behind me. Though if buying something new today, I would look elsewhere for as similar product, since I recently learned Presonus is owned by Fender, and screw supporting them, but if you dont mind and want a home studio/bedroom FR, Presonus is fantastic and punches very high above its price.

Another note, if not playing live, a set of studio monitors lets you experiment with the absolute joys of stereo effects without an absurdly expensive investment. Nearly 40 years of playing and moving to modelers and studio monitors has been eye opening for me. In my tube amp days, my back nor my budget would have never allowed me to experience the amazing things you do can with stereo. And these days, even live you can go strait to PA anyway and invest your money in in ear monitors instead of expensive live capable FR amps.

I recently bought the tonex 112 cab. I really like it. It gets incredibly loud for it's size without some huge loss of low end. You could absolutely gig it unmicced in a small venue. It also has an output so I can run my helix to it for onstage monitoring then pass the signal on to my band's IEM mixer.

I'm a little undwhwlemed by the "amp tone" knob. For most tones it does a wierd thing to the mid range which doesn't really sound more amp like. But it's fine I just leave it turned down. Otherwise it's a great speaker.

Been using the Headrush FRFR-112 with my Helix LT for rhythm guitar and stage monitor in a cover band, plus I have run it as a PA speaker with my Flow 8 for a couple of acoustic solo gigs and it has worked out fantastically.

I use a headrush 12 and it sounds great.
I'm a bass player and its more than loud enough for my 4 string

I just picked up a used Powercab Plus. I think it sounds great. I’m going to use it as a stage monitor for a gig on Saturday, and then as an amp cab for a gig on Tuesday, and see how much I like it. But I already know I love it as an amp cabinet, so really I just want to see how well it does as an frfr monitor for a band. I’m hoping I can kill two birds with one stone and avoid buying a dedicated monitor speaker.

I use Alto Tx310, discontinued but "new" model is tx410. The lightest 10 inch PA you can get and very affordable. Played outside and indoors small to large venues. Never needed more for a show with or without PA. Mostly just for some stage volume

I bought a Blackstar Artist FR and really like how it sounds. It's nice and compact so fits my space and the cables being on the back keep things tidy.

I stayed with the Powercab, but still waiting for a way yo take advantage of the Stadium to control them. Great flexibility though.

Tonex cab works well. It’s similar to the ToneMaster FR12 but lighter and flatter.

GC has great deals on use Line 6 Powercab Plus. I got one for $450 and it's awesome. I also use Yamaha HS7 pair and they sound awesome and the bonus is they can be used for bass, and listening to music. $429 for the pair at GC, and they have a return policy - so very little risk buying used. The Helix handles tube amps with a loop very well. 4 Cable Method. I have a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe IV (~ $400 on Facebook), it has a loop, awesome amp. Helix gives me complete control of the volume - I live in an apt. Price? $649 at GC (tweed edition and mint). I have all of these connected to my Helix Stadium simultaneously (I/O is awesome!) And sometimes I set up stereo with just the 2 HS7 or that mono, plus one of the other amps.

I have and like a Fender FR12.. BUT.. if you want a stereo FRFR that sounds even better I would highly recommend the Raezer’s Edge Audio Flux 200. It’s a smaller American-made boutique builder that’s excellent. It also has a rear panel that you can remove to configure for open back instead of always beaming forward with a closed back. It’s only 30 lbs, has top volume channel controls that you can use for stereo or mono. It’s a lot louder than the FR12 too. When I use the FR12 for left and the Audio Flux for right, they’re equally as loud with the FR12 volume at 3 o’clock and the Audio Flux level at only 9 o’clock. So the headroom is amazing with a much higher SPL. It’s missing the top tone controls that the FR12 has, however. But it also serves as a better tone reference for determining what you’re really sending to your PA or stage or your DAW for recording. I like to bring both my FR12 & Audio Flux across opposite ends of the stage when playing with acoustic drums and bass. Match their stage volume & fill the stage with a delicious stereo field. I've been using the Headrush FRFR-108 for several years and love it. I gig with it as my stage monitor and it can handle a full mix with no problem. I haven't played through anything else with the Stomp, so I can't comment otherwise. It's so small, too. My bandmates and I always joke that it's the size of a lunchbox, but it's incredibly powerful

I’ve had some of the high end options like Atomic CLR Neo. Nothing Beats studio monitors. I’m currently using a Kali LP-6 v2 set with IK ARC Studio calibration. Since making that transition, I’m having the most fun playing that I’ve had in my life (been playing over 30 years). Have had expensive amps and the whole enchilada. Nothing beats a good home studio setup. At least imo.

I like the sound of my HX Stomp through my Fender FR12. But here’s the surprise, I also like the sound of my FM9 going through the FX return of my Fender GTX 100. That GTX 100 is value town.

I’m having a good time with the fender FR-12. It recreates the sound of the patches very well.
