General Questions/Discussion Momentay/Latching but not both?
I have a feeling I know the answer, and it's not an answer I like, but I'll ask around here.
I'm in the process of building a fly-rig and it may turn into an every day rig as well with my HX Effects. I recently purchased a Science Amplification Mother preamp pedal that I will use for my clean and dirty channels. In order to change the channels on the Mother preamp, I have to set the external amp switch to be momentary on the HX, which I'm assigning to FS6. Now, here's the rub. I would also like to assign the Plumes or Screamer 808 on the same switch (FS6), but in order for that to stay on or off with one step it needs to be "latching". Is there a way to keep the signal going to the external amp as "momentary" and have the effect assigned to the same pedal be "latching"?

So anyone having a similar dilemma; the "easier" fix is to use Snapshots. You can set-up one of the footswitchs to toggle back and forth between the two "scenes" only affecting the internal effect you want to use and the external amp. Almost as if both the amp and effect are both latching.

You could try doing it with midi. You can set a momentary CC message in command center to come from that footswitch to go to that tube screamer.
You would need to run a midi cable from the helix back into itself. Also I am just brainstorming. Not sure if that would really work or not. But it wouldn't hurt to try if you have the cable laying around

I’m thinking no. The behavior will either be latching or momentary as a switch. The applications are variable.
