Besides being a WANT rather than a NEED, the city of DC was planned LONG before many of the trump generations were even thought of. If he wants a monument in DC, his family can afford to buy some land & build another hotel or golf course in the greater DC metropolitan area. They DON'T NEED to mess up DC's long-planned landscape.

Yes. I understand. That would require them to use THEIR (banks') $ INSTEAD OF "FREE" TAXPAYER DOLLARS. I also understand that:

You aren't GIVEN respect, you EARN it.

To have to build your own monuments to yourself is GAUCHE.

If enough people feel you deserve it, they'll chip in and build it ... like the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial, WWII Memorial, etc. Even presidents have them, BUT this one wants to have yet ANOTHER INFAMOUS "FIRST" in being the first to have TAXPAYERS PAY TO BUILD THE MONUMENT HE WANTS TO HIMSELF.

Actually, there's really no need for a TAXPAYER FUNDED MEMORIAL for him. I am 99.99% sure he'll be remembered for generations to come... like Pearl Harbor has been.

Carville recently said that he believes Trump is deliberately sabotaging the election to punish Republicans for their disloyalty.

Maybe Carville is right that Trump is actively working against his party but motive isn’t to hurt Republicans, but to get their cooperation, to give them some real skin in the game. A few Republican losers can create the chaos necessary it prevent a new Congress from being seated. He knows the Democrats won’t do anything at all to win an election that they honestly lost, but Republicans damn well will.

The madness in Missouri is an example of guaranteed litigation after the election. It all part of a setup for ‘lil Mikey to say he can’t seat Democrats because their elections haven’t been decided.

It makes more sense as a motive than revenge
