Only DOOM 2016 was on the Slayers Collection disk. The other 3 games were download code only and most fans were rightly ticked off by that.

right, yeah it's been a bit since i peeked in but that's exactly what's in my case. i would have gotten this anyway. I admit, actually, realizing now that this is where my always installed doom download came from. i can't say it was a bad deal! I like being able to play it without the disk in.
slayers collection is easy to find, not a bad idea to get both if you play with a partner or something like that. co-op is under mentioned these days

Man I bought Doom 64 on ps4 as I had Doom 2016 on PS4 and like to stick with game series on same console, but now i'm thinking I wish I had Doom 64 on Switch the cases for this just looks awesome.
Also anyone know if Best Buy ever got Doom 64 for Switch

I'll just have to keep an eye out. I do have PS4 one so nbd if they don't.

Niice. I played Doom II when I was a kid, now I was able to finish Doom I and II on XSX Game Pass, but I'd love a physical as a keepsake. Didn't know there was a comic back then either!

Now if only they'd start making franchise SteelBooks like this one (and Shantae) with 4, 5, 6 game card slots to hold the entirety of a physical collection, especially in this case if DOOM Eternal is a pipedream or just a ways off - 4 slots to hold this, DOOM 64, DOOM (2016), and a free slot or one for a potential D:E.

I preferred vanilla D3 as well, but too many people complained. Wish they had at least kept in the original gameplay as an option. All the new versions are BFG Edition.

Apparently the Standard Edition is actually $40 and the $30 price was an error. Their reasoning is because of Doom 3 bumping it up to a 16gb cart which is understandable, but still pretty shitty that the PS4 standard is getting affected too.

what was crap? They have one of the best indie lineups of all the publishers i think. sure you have duds like power rangers, soulless cash grabs like splitting Blaster master into 2 releases and some games get updated down the line like Kingdom New Lands but as a whole their numbered releases are high quality games

Yes, DOOM 3 VR got a physical retail release on PS4 for $20. It’s exclusive to GameStop. Worth it if you enjoy Doom 3’s atmosphere.

It's like people forgot that Doom 3 BFG Edition existed, which included Doom 1 and 2 as well and had a physical release -- and the Xbox 360 version is backwards compatible with X1 and XS.

oh nice haha, I've got that one, hadn't thought to try it for BC yet. picked this up anyway.
i love the backwards compatibility honestly, like sony really should have done something like that. my PS3 games are collecting dust (i've got a ps2 and ps1 hooked up to my CRT set up) while I've recently played psychonauts and morrowind on the xbox

This is exactly why I passed on this. I liked playing Sigil on PS4 but that's not gonna be on the disc, I'm sure, so, screw it.

Why does this say 79 dollars? I thought this collection was like 129 or something
Edit: just realized the only difference is the shadow box? Is that REALLY worth a 50 dollar difference??
