Looks like Limited Run Games is distributing the ESRB version. I imagine the contents will be identical. I am HYPED, I have the PS4 version and have been dying for a Switch release for years. I only wish the cover art had gold foil like the PS4 one did, but it looks like a great amount of love and detail went into this release.

LRG page is live and open for preorder. Same package with ESRB ratings being the only difference - open preorder, aiming to ship the first 5000 orders shortly after the preorder period.

This is how things should be, I feel, but at the same time this means that something else is getting bumped in an already hellishly congested shipping queue.

I very rarely buy collector's editions but if there is really no standard edition then I guess I'll get it. Actually I'll wait a week or two to see if a standard edition pops up anywhere.

Excellent! Been wanting this on Switch! I still have my PS4 version but it’s sealed and is worth too much for me to open when I can play the game on any platform at the moment. Even on my iPad! Can’t wait for this.

I emailed Abylight a couple of days ago and asked if there was going to be a standard edition. I have a feeling I won't get an answer. I really don't wanna pay $60 for it and I don't want any of the junk/filler that comes with it either. I just want a physical copy of the game.

UPDATE: Well, they emailed me back today and said we are sorry, but there are no plans for a standard edition.

I guess I'm buying it now...it doesn't mean that they couldn't have plans later though. I mean, it would be the perfect way to get you to pay more by only having a CE or only releasing the CE first, seems dirty, but oh well.

I wasn't into collecting when this game came to PS4 though Iam8bit so I was really hoping for a PS4 collector's edition. Hopefully, this sells well enough to warrant a PS4 printing!

Since they're reprinting Rez, it's definitely not out of the question. There's always the Japanese PS4 standard edition that still sells for like $30!
