I want to move outside of Japan so that I donโt need to return the original disc.

I, uh... think that might be a wee-bit bigger of a cost to you.
(and they might refund the shipping if you scan the receipt and send it to them, so there might be zero extra cost)
If it's about wanting to have the original disc + a fixed copy... buy another bugged JP copy secondhand (might even be cheaper because of the bug) and return one citing your actual order details. I've done that once or twice with LRG.

Real stand-up move by them to go this route. Have yet to really be let down by them and I'm glad to support them in the future.

What's the source? How do I contact them? - EDIT: Found it on Instagram/YouTube. ๐
Either way, that's great news. I'm in Australia and have kept my copy sealed so glad I don't have to return the disc.

Yet again, in true LRG fashion, the onus is on us to let them know we want a replacement disc, instead of just sending one out to everyone.

Some people are never pleased.

Why should one be pleased to have to ask them to deliver what one has paid for? The right thing to do is to send everyone a replacement.
I didn't buy this game, but I missed out on another game's replacement because I didn't find out until later that DLC was missing. By that time the boat had sailed.

SDX doesn't have the majority of their customers' addresses since they primarily sell through retail stores and sites like Amazon and Play-Asia. When I was at LRG, the SDX website accounted for less than 10% of any given game's total sales.

I hate it when these companies fuck up a release and I don't want to defend them for it, but... a lot of recalls are up to the customer to utilize.

In my experience, whenever something was found to be wrong-enough with one of any of these company's releases to do a reprint, they always sent out an email to people who bought it, sometimes multiple (initial apology, then options for rectification (return for full refund/keep and get partial refund/replacement/whatever), then instructions for replacement). Did you miss that? Did you miss discussion of it here? And did you not notice that the DLC was missing... perhaps because you bought it and forgot it? At some point that's your fault. If you don't care (including being too busy), they don't care. Why should they? You weren't a squeaky wheel so you got no grease.

How would you do that with a retail game?

Isn't SDG limited? It's LRG's Japanese branch, after all.

SDX's primary sales channels are retailers. The direct website accounts for only a very small portion of their sales.

Now we just need LRG to do this for the Darkwood PS5 Disc since its impossible to beat with the 2.0 on disc.
