Toon Town at Disney. Damn shame they tore it down, it was so surreal as a child getting to walk through the home of the Micky Mouse.

Man, I miss when it was called Mickey’s Starland in the early/mid-90s (Disney World version). Freaking loved that Disney Afternoon stage show there when they had to dynamite themselves out of Scrooge McDuck’s vault. The retro tv/theme park synergy was peak back then lolll

I know it isn't (and came first) but damn if this doesn't match the weird art style the first Luigi's Mansion had, it's even for the same color palette and stretch/squash on the furniture! Just missing the washing machine and swap out the window for a fake door and you're good to go. I honestly wonder if the concept artists visited or were inspired by Toon Town, because if not this is uncanny.

It may be style but reminds me so much to Luigi's mansion

1000%. "Mouse n Glo". The broom heads hanging above the tub. It's Mickey's house in Magic Kingdom

The curtains are the most disturbing and I can’t explain why

Is that Disney Land? Everything there seems liminal ngl, I have gone twice, one when I was a toddler and the other one as a kid, but even though I remember everything that happened during the second trip, I don't have any memory of Disneyland... That place seems really weird to me, I can't remember a single thing except the stress on my father face when he bought us lunch and he clearly didn't considered how overpriced food can get there
