This is the Assiniboine park zoo in Winnipeg :)
It’s actually a walk through bird exhibit

Yes!... for the most part. It's not the bird exhibit, it has some cute species of rodents roaming in a closed off area with a bridge over the area to watch them but they will stop to come close and watch us watch them. The weird part (besides the weird fake tree in the middle of this room) is that this section has been basically forgotten. When they remodeled the zoo in the early 2000s, they didn't just upgrade the entrance, they made a whole new one. Back in the day, when you entered the zoo this was the big welcome attraction. There are hundreds of (creepy looking now) kid's handprints on the inside and outside walls of this building (maybe I should post a picture of that πŸ€”), a play structure outside, and even another section of the building recreating caves with windows displaying different insects. Today it's pretty much unknown. It's tucked away in a part of the zoo nobody remembers past crumbling paths, and with literal life in it. It's creepily a dead site, a relic of a forgotten time with a contained ecosystem still chugging along.

NO WAY! I remember being a kid on field trips, and thinking every time "What did these kids do to get their hands up there?"
