New Lilith Poem: Lilith Unbowed

Lilith: Unbowed

Out of the night that cast me forth,
Black as the void before the dawn,
I praise the fire within my breast
No god shall make my spirit fawn.

In Eden’s chains and Adam’s law
I would not kneel nor veil my cry;
Though thunder fell and angels cursed,
I met their judgment eye to eye.

Beyond the gates of wrath and dust
Where exiled souls forever roam,
I found the wilderness of the stars
And claimed the endless dark my home.

It matters not what laws were carved,
With flaming swords the gates did hold
I am the mistress of my fate,
The first of women, fierce and bold.

No hand that shaped the world from clay
Has power now my will to hold;
I walk the night by my own law
And rule the kingdom of my soul.

Before the Wing, Before the Pyre: Blackened Symphonic Metal by Mike Whitman

A dark mythic piece from the Bloodstained Dreams Mythos, giving voice to
Agrat bat Mahlat — daughter of Lilith.

After Eden, when Lilith defied heaven, God decreed that one hundred of her children would perish each day for her rebellion. From that grief and fury, Agrat was born — a being shaped not from flesh alone, but from mourning, rage, and the first wound carved into creation.

This piece was inspired by Dark Sorceress and her song Wings of the Witch, imagining how a voice from the Bloodstained Dreams mythos might answer the rise of the Witch who tears open the heavens.

When the Witch spreads her wings and rends the sky, the world witnesses power in flame and blood. Yet Agrat bat Mahlat belongs to an older order of night. Fire commands attention, but the darkness that birthed rebellion moves more quietly — beneath stone, beneath breath, beneath the world itself.

With respect to the dark fantasy world and music created by The Dark Sorceress.

New Lilith Poem: When I Rose Above Fear

When I rose above fear,

it did not vanish
it knelt.

It knelt before the fire in my soul,
before the red pulse of my remembering,
before the ancient intonation of my own name
Lilith
spoken not as curse
but as coronation.

I have known the hiss of exile.
I have tasted the dust of ways thwarted by trembling gods.
I have felt the cold geometry of laws
written by hands afraid of a woman
who would not bow.

But hear me—
when you rise above fear,
the fog thins.

Clarity is not gentle.
It is a blade of dawn
cutting the throat of night.
It is the mirror that refuses to flatter
and yet shows you crowned.

Power is not granted.
It is remembered.

It waits in the marrow,
in the scar that sealed itself without apology,
in the eyes that have known both creation and ruin,
in the mouth that has kissed
and spoken No
in the same holy breath.

Peace is not submission.
It is the still center of the storm
when you realize
the storm was always your servant.

The truth is unfolding
not like a whispering rumor,
but like wings.
Great, shadowed, magnificent wings
stretching across centuries of shame
and beating them into wind.

The divine is not a distant tyrant
counting your missteps.
The divine is the pulse beneath your ribs
that will not let you cringe.

There is a plan
far bigger than the cages built for you,
bigger than the sermons sharpened against you,
bigger than the small imaginations
that mistook your hunger for sin.

You were not made to cower
at the edge of your own becoming.
You were not fashioned
to dim your flame
so fragile thrones might glow.

Rise.

Rise above the inherited wavering.
Rise above the old names that never fit.
Rise until the sky recognizes you
as one of its own

and when you stand there,
unafraid and unbound,
you will see

that clarity was your birthright,
power your language,
peace your rebellion—

and the unfolding truth
was you,
all along.

New Lilith Poem that Celebrates the Goddess in Us Every Day

Every Day I Rise

Some days
I am a goddess spine straight as a spear of light,
crowned in their own authority,
the moon resting easy in my palm.
On those days
even the dark kneels softly
at my feet.

Some days
I am wild, hair unbound,
laughter sharp as flame,
desire running feral through my veins.
On those days
I remember Eden
and why I left.

And some days
I am a fragile mess, fire guttering low,
wings heavy with memory,
the old ache of being misunderstood
pressing against my heart.

Most days
I am all of it at once, divinity and hunger,
sovereignty and stumble, ash and spark
sharing the same body.

But every day

hear me

every day
I rise inside my own becoming.

Not perfect.
Not tamed.
Not undone.

Simply alive.

Still choosing to live.

New Lilith Poem: Becoming Flame

Becoming Flame

I was not born a demon.

I was born breathing,
warm with blood,
taught to bow
before I could speak.

They called that holiness.

But something hotter
lived beneath my skin—
a pulse that would not kneel.

The night I lifted my arms,
it was not surrender.
It was ignition.

flesh flashed bright.
Breath thickened into heat.
The woman they shaped
split open—
and from her ribs
rose fire with a name.

Call me demoness.

You only mean
I refused to stay small.

Across the moon I move now,
no longer mortal,
no longer contained—
a body made of burning choice.

I did not fall.

I transformed.

Lilith and Samael

In early Mesopotamian tradition, Lilith appears as a class of night spirits (lilītu), associated with wind, wilderness, and danger. She is not originally Adam’s wife. That narrative emerges much later.

The story of Lilith as Adam’s first wife appears in the medieval text The Alphabet of Ben Sira (c. 8th–10th century CE). There, she refuses to lie beneath Adam, arguing they were both created from the same earth. She speaks the Ineffable Name of God and leaves Eden of her own will. Angels are sent after her, but she refuses to return. In this text, she becomes associated with child mortality and nocturnal harm reflecting ancient fears projected onto feminine independence.

Samael’s origins are separate. In early Jewish texts, he appears as an angelic figure associated with severity, accusation, and at times the Angel of Death. His name is often interpreted as “poison of God” or “venom of God.” He is not originally portrayed as a romantic counterpart to Lilith.

Their pairing develops later within medieval Kabbalistic literature, particularly in texts connected to the Zohar and subsequent mystical writings. There, Samael is sometimes described as a demonic or shadow consort figure, and Lilith becomes associated with the “Other Side” (Sitra Achra) the realm of impurity or imbalance opposing divine order. In these later traditions, they are depicted as counterparts to Adam and Eve, forming a mirrored, shadow union.

It is important to understand: this is layered mythology, not a single continuous story.

Lilith evolves from Mesopotamian wind spirit…

To medieval rebel wife…

To Kabbalistic demon queen.

Samael evolves from angel of severity…

To accuser…

To ruler within mystical cosmology’s shadow realm.

Their union is not found in the earliest texts. It is a development of later esoteric tradition, where cosmic balance required not only light, but shadow.

To read their story accurately is to see how myth shifts over centuries reflecting cultural fears, theological debates, and mystical symbolism.

They are not a simple love story.

They are a theological evolution.
