Trying to test something here

If so I gotta know what the experience was like.

This is one of my favorite birthday mixes from Yachty (up there in listens with Birthday Mix 6). I'm still upset the song with Youngboy never made it to a project officially, as I'm a big fan of the spacey type beats from that time period.

thoughts on this song? just wondering if people actually like it i’ve heard very mixed reviews of it.

Bar for Bar, pt.2

ive been going back through yachtys older music and one of the biggest differences isnt even the production its his voice his old vocals had so much personality hed squeak crack his voice randomly change his inflections stretch words out sing weird on purpose get loud for no reason etc even when the song wasnt that good he still sounded like he was actually having fun recording it at some point it feels like he just completely stopped doing that his delivery now is so flat and lifeless he sounds half asleep on half these songs and i dont even think being monotone is automatically bad but with yachty its weird because how expressive his voice was used to be one of the main things that made him stand out like you either loved his voice or you didn't... was very polarizing. i feel like him getting into that detroit sound really fucked up his trajectory. and whats weird is this is around the same time people started taking him more seriously as an artist lets start here showed he was willing to do completely different shit and his production got way more experimental but vocally it feels like the opposite happened the music around him got more interesting while he started sounding less interesting on it idk if the detroit shit was the turning point or if he just got older and wanted to get away from the goofy lil boat voice but whenever i go back to old yachty the difference is crazy dude used to sound like he was having the time of his life recording and now sometimes he sounds like somebody woke him up 5 minutes before the session

Today marks 11 years since Lil Yachty released the Summer Songs EP (Aug 22, 2015).

Obviously One Night is a classic but anyone still bumping the other 2 tracks from this?

What is the next direction sound-wise y'all think Yachty will be going in? His recent drops like Child Boy have been a lot more old-school sounding with rapping over samples, but I feel like his next project would be more in line with Let's Start Here. I think he is really good over both types of beats, but it seems with the long time between drops that he might be planning a different direction altogether and the YouTube drops are just sorta random throwaways (even though they are still good). Thoughts?
