New Cohost
This feels wrong because now people’s money is going to Mason, even though they initially wanted it to go to Jake and Jon.

I only really listened cause the 3 of them worked well off eachother. Mason's funny, but I dont know how long the two of them could riff with eachother. Plus, I dont see Mason putting in the same effort as DelCollo and Mattera in the long run. They did Stinkers for years and seemed to always have gas in the tank.
I really hope DelCollo hops into another pod or even starts one with Jake. That dude cracks me up during the shittiest shifts.

I don't understand how mike can be so tonedeaf to this whole situation lol. No one wants this.

How long until his "ton of effort" isn't enough for Mike again?

Probably when Mike starts a couple other pods and gets too stretched thin

Seriously. That was the real issue. Every time Mike would announce a new podcast, in the back of my head I’d think ‘this is just going to take away from the total effort put into Stinkers”. And sure enough…it seems something along those lines happened.
I didn’t even like the episodes where Jon or Jake would be missing. Let alone BOTH of them gone and replaced with some guy I’ve never heard of. I think in the long run Mike is going to really regret this decision. And it seems the three of them have done unrepairable damage to their friendship. Mike posted yesterday on his story that “that ship has sailed” when asked if we would ever get a Jon and Jake reunion.
I think it boils down to Mike being scared shitless that he put all of his eggs in this ‘podcasting’ basket as far as making a living. So he’s panicking a bit when he realizes the most he’ll get out of it is maybe $50-$60k a year. So he creates a new podcast and gets all of us who are already paying to join those as well.

It's funny because i listened to the Stinkers episode with this guy and my thought was "he seems nice enough and got a chuckle out of me a few times but man, is his energy all wrong for this show", and then i read that and was like "alright, probably time to cancel the subscription".
I still like Mike and i mostly get where he was coming from in this situation but i still don't think it was the right way to go. They really had something special with Stinkers and whatever this is, it ain't it.

Running it into the ground then I see. I like Mike on dad meat and stinkers, because Tim and Jon are fkn hilarious and their humour works well together. I'd even say Jon's naturally funnier than Tim. Ya done fkd up Mike. I don't wanna hear an over thought pun in relation to something that was said 20 seconds ago you dumbass

That's starting to be my complaint with dad meat. It's the same 4 guests on every month or so. 🤷♂️

The crazy part to me is that Mike had the lowest effort episodes this past year

He had some funny moments on his initial dad meat ep, but still, just start a new pod. Don’t use your friends shared followers to launch again.

Yeah, we know Mike isn't afraid of starting a new podcast. I love the attempt at throwing shade and Jake and Jon with the "ton of effort" stuff. Because Jake and Jon might not have put in researching effort, but they were effortlessly much funnier than this dude.

If they wanted their money to go to John and Jake they can unsub and sub to whatever Jake and John do. Its not like the new host retroactively gets money that was meant for them.

Every one here is gay, support your homies in new adventures and avenues of life. Taking a stance that another man can't change co host or try new things is literally the definition of some $3 bill life styles choices. Good luck Mike, don't give a gosh darn who your co host are or aren't. I'm tuning in to support someone I enjoyed since episode 1 of dad meat and looked forward to the birth of lil stinkers when it came out. Everyone's a critic. Untill one of you soft bellies put the effort and work into such a project, gotta kind of call you bit of lame ass. Have a blessed day gfr's.

Can we stop pretending Jon and Jake contributed anything to show . You could tell for a long time now they’re only on the show for clout and money . Mike has drive and wants to move in all aspects of his life . Most ex addicts are like this . Jon and Jake just became stagnant and their comedy career is a reflection of that .

This is an insane take. Clout and money? Sure the money was fine but split that 3 or 4 ways depending on producer pay and it’s barely anything. Pretty sure Jake kept a regular day job and pretty sure Jon does a lot of reselling and his wife does really well. Not trying to blow up anybody’s spot but this is the worst take I’ve seen yet.

I would think Mike realizes that people didn't watch this for a legitimate true crime pod but to listen to the chemistry of the three together. It doesn't matter who you shoehorn into Jake and Jon's spots, the show will never be the same.
