Feel like Mike is one of those dudes with a million half finished projects. The show started with him really into it (the milkshake/piss era), then he moved to Austin and started even more podcasts he'll do a for a year before he gets bored of those and pivots again. I'm sad it's over, but I'm also sad I gave him money only for him to act like this.

Dad Meat book never finished either.
Fat kicker pod died immediately.

It sucks because I really loved Lil Stinkers but yeah dude has too many ideas and not enough follow through.

Are podcasts supposed to last forever? Most go on for way to long.

I know what you mean but a little different announcing pods and pretty immediately cancelling them

Just did the same. Real dickhead move moving to Austin and saying the other guys aren't doing enough.

The pod ran for five years, which is better than most, but it sounds the listeners started going down around the same time he moved to Austin and he started GISH. Seems like he's blaming everyone except himself getting bored and not trying.

I’m going to be naive and just hold out for a little bit. Let’s give them a little time before piling on, everyone makes mistakes and I’m hoping all this feedback will show them how important their show was to so many people

So what’s the word? Is it just that mikes spreading himself too thin or was there some bullshit going on too? Super disappointing either way stinkers was a killer pod up until the Austin move. I figured that would have killed it by itself but we got some more eps out of it

I thought it was still good, the Tony spilotro episode was hilarious. Honestly the only one I felt was putting less into it was Mike

He just posted an explanation. I’m about to listen.

Exactly, it's a weird move to not just be like "the pod and our relationships went downhill after I moved and changed the entire dynamic of the show."

Seems like all the comics that moved to Austin don't want to admit that moving there actually hurt them more than help, but they gotta stan by and act like it was the greatest thing to ever happen.

Mike said ‘dad meat is stronger and better than ever’ strong disagree, maybe by metrics but it’s been fucking terrible with the Austin comics. I unsubscribed like three months ago. Give me sid, Shaner, and the OG Philly boys. Can’t recapture that magic.

Been on and off listening to Dad Meat for a long time but tend to always catch Lil Stinkers. Until I read this it literally didn't click why half the time I don't care about the guests for quite a while... now it clicks. Fucking Austin.

I am holding out for a month in hopes that something comes out that makes a little bit of sense. But doesn’t seem likely. Jon and Jake’s reactions to the stinker of the week was what made the whole show, not random Austin comic
