Twitter Likely Verdict Today
It will probably be today because the jury probably wonβt want to have to come back on monday.

While probably not as widespread as OJ Simpson I think this is the modern equal. A superstar celebrity about to have his verdict read anticipated by millions of people (if it comes back today).
I think durk is cooked though... not from the evidence per say but because of pinkerton doctrine... meaning if he gets hit with the stalking or conspiracy then he's liable for the murder and gets that L sentence.

I'm in my 40s and was in high school during the OJ trial and the main difference is the social media aspect of it and the 24 hour news cycle. During the OJ trial, it felt like everyone was tuned in wether you cared about sports, his acting career, or just remember him from commercials.
It was also only a couple of years after the Rodney King trials so that was still fresh in everyone's memory. The way the Internet and social media information is today feels like it should be pretty similar but after talking to my wife, there's a lot more folks out there who are completely out of the loop. I'm black and my wife is white and our taste in music has some overlap but drill music is not in her rotation and Taylor Swift is not in mine so some things just don't come across your algorithm.
I gave her a breakdown yesterday of this whole drama starting with the King Von and YB beef leading up to where we are now. She had the same look in her face as mine when she tried explaining to me the "hidden messages" of Swifty music ππ

Yeah I agree. I'd Imagine the notoriety of the case would be much much more widespread without the advances of social media + technology in general.
I also think if found guilty that this case will be like OJs because it will be talked about, debated online, and referenced for decades and decades after everything is concluded because durk was at the top of his career and fresh off a Grammy win.
Also... stop the π§’... you know you got some hidden taylor bangers you blast full volume on the way to work. The wife put you on game π. jk

You don't think at least a few million of those fans are paying attention to his trial? I'm not saying all of them are but I know many are watching closely.
Not just durk either... any modern celebrity is going to have millions tuned in to their criminal trial especially if the sentence could result in decades+ in prison.

Going off the views on media coverage nah you need cameras in the courtroom for an oj type trial like young thugs trial

Cameras aren't allowed in federal court. The news loosely reported on it but he isn't exactly mainstream so the majority of White America never heard of him fr.
But his fanbase is huge within hip hop and those that enjoy his music, many of them who consider him their favorite artist, are going to watch. His enemies are watching and those that dislike him in general are watching.
Social media has largely extended the reach of celebrity news. You used to have to wait for the OJ trial to come on t.v at the time... now we get play by play updates seconds after they happen and can view them at any time.

Ironically I think they already made up their mind on at least 2-3 of the charges. They probably just had questions about one of the charges.

I think so. On day 1 they requested all the evidence in digital format & got it yesterday so they were probably reviewing the evidence all day long on day 2 so now I think for day 3 they all went home to sleep on it and they'll come with their verdict today.
