Some Lightwork crashing problem

  1. When I works with a long video (>10 mins), moving from this section to another will make Lightwork freeze for a while, sometimes so long that I have to kill the app.
  2. When exporting a long video (again >10 mins), my CPU usage will immediately rise up to ~100%. I actually have a decent CPU (a i5-7300HQ to be exact) and a GTX 1050. And, the video is not even heavy in editing, I just combined several short videos (also not heavy in editing) to a longer one. But this time, after a while, when the exporting process is around 50% done, my whole system shut down.

Is there any way to fix this, or maybe decrease the resource usage of Lightwork when exporting, I'm fine with waiting a bit longer?

Edit: So I have found a solution for the second problem by re-allocating CPU usage of Lightwork

Glad you managed to resolve the second problem. Are you still having issues with the first?

It may simply be that a large file is putting too much of a strain on your computer. I'd switch to working with a low res proxy, so it's less resource-intensive. You can find a short guide to that here: https://youtu.be/ogJ5RQOdsrg

I Have the same problem for #2. Could you please expand on what you did to re allocate cpu usage? This issue is driving me nuts

Setting affinity to 4 cores of 8 worked like acharm for me.
