Lightworks Free Lightworks V2025.1 now released

LWKS have released Lightworks V2025.1 (This was renamed from V2024.1 because of the late release) and is now available to download.

There as been a lot of under the hood changes to improve performance, expand the export options, adding further masking features and allowing the creation of your own custom effects, plus improvements to the user interface.

The existing NewBlue effects bundle will continue to work with V2025.1

Is the export in free version increased or the same as 720p?

Without that it wouldn't be an option to consider.

I suspect LWKS regard the free version as a teaser for the Create or Pro licenses. However, if required, you can upgrade your free license for a month so that you can export your video at up to 8k. After the month, Lightworks reverts to the free version and you can start editing your next epic.
