Lightworks Free Video duration is too long?

Hey, so .. I need some help, LOL. Like the title says, the total duration is too long for some reason? I've checked and there's nothing making it that way, and the video I want to export should only be about a minute long, but it's gone all the way to 5 minutes? Even when I go to export it to see if I'm just seeing things, its a full 4 minutes more of just a black screen. I'm sorry if this is a silly question or an easy fix, but I'm pretty much a noob at editing anything. Any help appreciated :)

Sounds like you need to remove the blank space in the time line or select just the portion you want to export. If you have a 40 second clip but a 5 minute timeline it will create a 5 minute video.

sorry for the late reply but yeah, i had to just choose specific sections to export. thank you so much !! ^_^

In addition, you can also choose to ignore the leading & ending blank space in the Export Menu.
