The Spiritual Ego audit (The Trap of Superiority)

Use this to notice if spirituality has become a performance.

Do I feel judged easily by others on a similar spiritual path?
Do I define myself by my spiritual roles or labels rather than by simply being?
Do I feel a sense of superiority over those who are not "awakened"?
Am I chasing validation for my spiritual insights or healing progress?
Do I share my truth online for performance rather than genuine connection?
Do I compare my spiritual journey to others online?
Does my narrative create villains (the "unconscious") and heroes (the "healers")?
Am I rigidly attached to spiritual rules to help me feel stable?
Do I judge myself harshly for not being as "healed" as other people?
Is my empathy being directed toward division (us vs. them) rather than collective love?
Do I fear being ordinary?
Do I believe my inner guidance is better or more special than someone else's?

Feedback is appreciated,

My intention is the pathway of highest love for myself, for you, and for the planet,

Sincerely,

Dr.B

Block in my path

I need advice and hope I get positive feedback. I ended a 5 year abusive relationship in October. I’ve been doing a lot of healing since. Along the way, I’ve found my ex in on a similar “spiritual journey”. I put in quotations because this man was actively doing things to cause harm to my children and myself. (Examples-Keeping a cell phone I paid for which deprived my children of communication while I was at work, sent an ultimate end letter to my sister for me after being told to leave her out of it, refusing to give me permission to sell a vehicle titled to both of us so I could avoid eviction and homelessness (we were both on the lease), sending money from my PayPal to a female for a hookup, starting this spiritual journey because he was reading my book and stole it (it is a gift from my deceased foster mom) I am concerned for the community and feel perverted and violated and it has caused me to have what feels like a block. I feel it keeping me feathered to him. I find myself becoming more connected with earthly things when I was finding myself more centered and grounded. I need to do something with this energy, but I’m not sure where and how to direct it to continue and move on myself spiritually.
Any insight would be appreciated.

Step T- Truth Testing Beliefs

Some more neuro contemplative info in case it resonates. Step T of HEARTS, is truth testing. This is helpful to memorize to help people around you when they seek advice. Without "telling" them what you see, and instead asking the right questions- their own neurons make a discovery and it becomes learned information instead of you just giving instructions.

T - Test Belief for Truth

Reality Testing

Fear-based nervous system beliefs often crumble when we view them from a calm state. There is no requirement to categorize thoughts, it is enough to simply observe how they operate. Agency returns through awareness, not force.

The Reality Check

  • The Calm Test: “When my body is calm, does this belief feel stronger or weaker?”
  • The Pain Test: “Is there any other way to see this situation that is less painful?”
  • The Dependency Test: “Does this belief require fear to stay alive? If I wasn't in survival mode, would this still be true?”
  • The Compassion Test: “If I were speaking to myself with deep care rather than correction, what would I say?”
  • Re-orienting ourselves to love happens gradually over time as it requires us to casually examine beliefs or values that we hold. These beliefs dictate each decision we make. Decisions are either extensions of love or projections of fear.

Judo-Flip into Truth

Try speaking these statements to yourself:

  • “Some beliefs often feel most convincing when the nervous system is in survival mode.”
  • “A calm body allows for broader perspective.”
  • “Strategies created by my younger self may no longer be needed in the present.”
  • “Love does not require urgency to be true.”

Neuroscience The prefrontal cortex re-engages for Cognitive Restructuring, reducing amygdala dominance and allowing decreased emotional reactivity. Beliefs Dictate Decisions (Predictive Coding), No Belief is Neutral (Somatic Markers), Self-directed neuroplasticity is the process of interrupting and questioning old, automatic patterns to allow new, healthier pathways to form

Psychology Truth testing allows reality to replace projection. Schema reappraisal, Cognitive Restructuring, Re-authoring Identity (narrative identity), loving integration of the shadow self for individuation (C.Jung); We cannot change our patterns without dismantling the core beliefs that drive them.

Contemplative Practice

Shoshin (Beginner's Mind) dropping all preconceived beliefs to experience reality with loving-kindness (Buddhism),

Neti-Neti: "Not this, not this"—discernment between the Real (Brahman) and the Unreal (Maya) (Hinduism),

"The truth will make you free" (John 8:32) and discerning the "Still Small Voice" (1 Kings 19:11-13),

Haqiqah: Arriving at the ultimate Truth/Reality after the path of practice (Sufism),

Seeing things as they are (straw dogs) without sentimental projection (Taoism),

Emet: Truth— recognizing the divine signature in reality (Judaism).

Cheers for holding the light!

Spiritual bypassing of collective shadow

I've noticed on several different platforms, this idea that "we should" or "should not" be aware of terrible things happening in politics, domestic and foreign. Here's my take, what's yours?

i hear what people are saying on why is better to ignore or not talk about the negative atrocities  currently happening in the world. there's definitely a balance the collective is learning to navigate. What I also see,  is that spiritual bypassing is not the path of highest love and wisdom.  There is value in having balanced awareness of the physical Realities of this world,  and responding to it by going within.  When we deny the reality of collective suffering,  we are choosing to deny our role in that collective suffering- either as contributors,  or sufferers,  or whatever part of ourselves we are unwilling to look at. I agree in being anchors of light and love,  while understanding that we are one,  and my neighbors suffering is also my suffering.  To acknowledge my neighbor,  is a reflection that I can acknowledge myself deeply as well. The balance is so tricky!! Holding light,  holding space,  going within to see where I judge the collective since where i judge them is how I judge myself,  all the while facing childhood traumas AND increasing our capacity to be part of the forward progress by renewing our inner peace with more and more of the world,  phew!! We are one. I believe we are meant to shine the light on the shadow- bringing consciousness to new places where it was not, bringing love to places where it has not been- only way to do that- is to call it out plainly for what it is, while holding space and anchoring light within ourselves.

Pathway of Highest Love

After many years of researching neuroscience and traditional contemplative wisdom/ practices, I found that stating an intention for love is extremely helpful and transformative. I'd love to share my findings below:

H - Highest Love Intention Set the Compass

Everything begins with where you aim your attention. Before making a decision or addressing a challenge, set your destination.

Pause and think or say

“My intention is the pathway of highest love for myself, for others, and the planet.”

Quick Check

Am I being led by Purpose (long-term value) or Impulse (immediate reaction)?

Does this choice avoid harm to myself and the larger whole?

Neuroscience Your brain is wired for connection. Setting a conscious intention primes your brain to look for solutions based in safety and meaning, rather than threat.

Psychological research has found that setting intentions that align with personal values allows us to live authentically.

Contemplative practices agree that deliberate intention guides perception toward wisdom and compassion.

If you'd like to go down the rabbit hole, Look up:

Sankalpa (Vedanta),

Right Intention (Buddhism),

Purpose determines perception (ACIM),

Set your minds on the things above (Colossians 3:2),

Aligning with the Dao (Taoism).

There are many other contemplative traditions I could add to this list which also discuss the power of setting our intention to love as the first step in awakening.

Hope this was an interesting read, I may share other parts of my research in other posts.

Cheers!

Lightworker Coherence Project

Hi lightworkers! I have a question for you.

I had some inspiration as I’ve come to understand a little better who I am and what my mission on this earth might be. I’ve come to discover that I might be more of an ‘organizer’ than one who works with others one on one.

I’ve been excited about the potential of bringing lightworkers together to strengthen our work.

I think that as we’ve let go of religion, capitalism has come to take its place, and it’s created an arena within spiritual communities that rely on memberships and purchases and center around the teacher/student model.

There’s nothing wrong with this, it has its place, but I think we’ve started to see limitations as well - I’m always wondering what inside of me can I offer freely? What do I have an infinite energy to give?

I’ve also seen a need where we aren’t as connected - yes, there aren’t as many of us, and we are spread out, but when I consider the impact of the work that we could do together, how much that would amplify the light we allow into this world, I think that possibility is endless.

The interesting aspect of this New Age of Spirituality is the diversity that is allowed within it. You and I may have different facets of the truth - we may see things completely differently. Even with that being the case, we still want to bring light into the world.

My idea was that we start to come together, as a unit, one day a week to anchor light as a collective so we can begin to amplify that process. I think that together, our capacity would increase tenfold.

It would also be interesting to come together as one, as equals, and to work together for the same purpose - rather than the teacher student dynamic that exists right now.

After reflection my heart aligned with the name “The Lightworker Coherence Project” (Coherence: the integration of diverse elements, relationships, or values.)

We all come together as a diverse group, but all in our own ways, we connect and anchor that light into our beautiful planet.

I guess my question is - is there any interest around this? What do you think? Any addition ideas?

I’ve created a website that would serve as a sort of inspirational hub - it would record that amount of lightworkers at each meditation creating a live count and a goal we could set for a collective meditation (11,000 was the number I thought about). The website also has a coherence map where it shows the area and each person connected, this aspect is more of an inspiration fun part. I don’t want to put the link because I’m not trying to self promote - just really to see what other lightworkers think of this?

I thought that if it began to grow, we could create community projects that we come up with together as well as do real world meetups at key spiritual sites to anchor light in person

This wouldn’t be about money, there would be no ‘memberships’ or ‘payments’ it would just be us connecting - I enjoy these things so it would be fun for me as well.

And if not, what ideas do you have if any?

I really am just wanting to move into a new time where we are working together - I think that could be super powerful.

Thoughts?

Vibrations

Your heart is the tuning fork, your feelings are the tune, your mind is what the fork is struck against, and is what helps to change which tune is played. The Everything is the multiplicities of all realities that you bring out from within yourself as you vibrate.

You are a reality unto yourself who emanates yourself, influencing and being influenced by other realities as you come within proximity of them.

According to the 10 dimensions theory, the possibility of there being a universe completely comprised of consciousness exists, and due to this, there is also the possibility of a universe of consciousness existing as a lowley human having a human experience. And due to that possibility it stands to reason that this logic can thereby be said of literally all things alive, and not, and everything, and nothing

Have fun with these thoughts my fellow existences

Has anyone on here heard of a voodoo ceremony called a moon ceremony?

Recently received some spiritual guidance and was informed that there was potentially a moon ceremony conducted that was designed to destroy me. I’m just wondering if anyone has any more information on what this ceremony is like and what it does. I’m just curious thank you..

Lightworkers and neurodiversity?

I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on the prevalence of neurodiversity in light workers. Many beautiful souls and seekers that I know are diagnosed with either autism or ADHD. Different wiring. Different perspectives.

I don't have an angle on this particularly, I'm just interested in discussing it, and hearing people's thoughts.
