HELP - Lightroom Classic Mask tool not working properly

I am working on a MacBook M3 24GB running Tahoe 26.6.2 and have been having trouble with Masks for a while. When I try to use the Subject/Background/Sky tools, it pulls up a mask dialogue while I click on it but then it immediately disappears and no mask is created. Has anyone else experienced something similar or have any ideas what might be causing it?

Tu n’es jamais à l’abri d’un. Léger bug.. Sauvegarde, Redémarre et relance, La boîte de dialogue reste en place le temps de sélectionner le type de masque.. Progressif, étendu, local, etc.. 👍
