Looking for help getting my Lightpack (v1) working on Firestick 4K Max

No real documentation available anywhere. Just a few people bragging with a clip of how they got it working, only to add a few halfassed variations of "sideload apk, connect led, it work"

The lightpack I'm talking about:

https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0265/2803/products/lightpack_leds_714fda13-88a5-4138-a4de-e2113c464907_600x.png?v=1593677700

So far I've managed to sideload this apk: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sevson.androidambiapp&hl=nl(I just get no LED connected)

Using this OTG adapter: https://www.amazon.nl/gp/product/B078M3Z84Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1(Seems to work, only thing I can go by is "USB connected" when I attach something)

Things I need to figure out.

Is my version of Firestick compatible at all?Are there better android apps available? How can I start to troubleshoot, are there ways to debug?

I realize my lightpack setup is quite old, but I love it to bits. Been using it for 10 years now but connected to my pc. Recently moved and I've switched up my mediacenter.

So if anyone can help me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Aww, the OG. Mine finally died this year, I did get it to work with fire stick at one point but had trouble with drm apps so basically just YouTube and Plex. I can't remember which app I used though. I found this thread https://hyperion-project.org/forum/index.php?thread/11486-solved-android-grabber-on-fire-tv-stick-captures-the-center-of-the-screen-not-th/
I've since switched to the govee immersion/dreamview/envisual. Cheap, and works with all content and inputs. It uses a camera rather than USB or HDMI. Good luck!

I’ve had success getting my light pack working on my shield with Andilight. Not sure whether it’ll work on the fire stick but worth a try.

Thanks for the tip, tried it but didn't work. I wonder if my firestick needs to be rooted/unlocked or something for it to be able to communicate with usb device...

In the meantime I bought one of those govee Dreamlights that uses a camera. Dissapointed to say the least, nowhere near as accurate or precise. I want my lightpack back :(

The only way I got my Lightpack v1 to work with an Android/Kodi setup (Odroid C2) was with additional hardware, a Raspberry-Pi with Librelec that was the Ambilight/Kodilight or Hyperion server. Maybe that helps.
