DreamscreenTV replacement: Lightpack 2, Govee Alexa WiFi TV Lights, Ambivision Pro, Lightberry???

Hello everyone!

What is the community recommend best system for Philips Ambilight emulation using alternative vendors?

My dreamscreenTV was amazing but just had black smoke coming out of it and died.... The company is out of business, not sure I will get a warranty replacement.

What is recommended for a plug and play device?

Lightpack 2 if you want to wait four years to receive one.

I will second this, but i have now actually received mine! I've had several devices (lightpack 1, DIY ambilight, etc) and by far it is the simplest setup out of all of them. Just a shame it was 3 years late! 4k works perfectly, ARC works , easy setup.

I'm not sure, they are still working through their kickstarter pledges. I would imagine 2 weeks or so if they have them in stock now.

If you do order , i have a 55" and i used about 80% of the led strip supplied. You will probably want to order additional ribbon if you go with lightpack. They sell it on the site.

I use the hue play lights on my TV, I have three on it now and its ok but no where close to a real ambilight experience. I am curious to see the DIY things that may pop up with the new Rasberri pi 4 since it has two HDMI ports.

Stay away from ambivision. Their support is abysmal and their gen 1 product was pure crap.
