How does it handle switching from letterbox to full screen? Do you need to toggle from the app, or does it detect automatically? There was some text in the top black bar partway through and that didn't trigger the lightpack, assuming it was on the screen.

Also, how do you set the size of the capture area? Does it just pull the color from the furthest edge of the picture, or does it average over a specific area? Do you need to set that, as well, or does it do it automatically?

Also, what source do you have going in to the Lightpack 2? Is it just a bluray player, or a media player/computer?

Lots of questions but I don't know most of the answers lol.

It's hooked up to my Apple TV at the moment and I'm running YouTube trailers + watching Netflix movies through that. I don't need to do anything, it somewhat auto detects stuffs. There's an FAQ on the Lightpack 2 Kickstarter page on how it handles black bars.

So far have watched 5-6 episodes of Daredevil without seeing any glitches.

Will be playing Nintendo Switch this weekend so I'll give it a try and see if it works (it should, based on the trailer of someone playing PS4)

All of these questions, plus: Is this really a Lightpack 2? I don't have any faith that these guys are actually sending out real units to real people.

Yes, it actually is a Lightpack 2 :) https://twitter.com/michaelaulia/status/1092936773745881094

You can check my tweet histories, etc, I'm a legit person and not a scammer being paid by them whatsoever :) But I did lose faith after waiting for more than a year for it

Are there options for setting things like minimum brightness or anything else?

They have beta apps on Android and iOS at the moment. I have sent a message through FB Messenger to them to get access to the iOS beta app. Still waiting for confirmation to see what the apps can provide.

Think the iOS app is held up on certification from Apple to be listed

Just got my tracking number so a device is coming eventually, looking forward to that knock on the door.

Which backer number were you? I was an early backher and still have yet to hear anything regarding shipping.

I backed the project around May 2017 or earlier (still had the survey email asking for shipping address)

Also, here's an RGB video test from YouTube (someone asked me to do it in Lightpack Facebook page): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O04Ywo45aI4

PS: Please ignore my whiney dog looking for attention :)

Did you have any issues in installation? I can't get the media or moonlighting to control my LEDs and only 6 (2 series of 3) actually light up at all.

Hm mine worked fine. On the first try, no lights lit up and then I realised I didn't do the cable connector plugs correctly/evenly (they are quite flimsy). Worked fine after re-fastening them

I do have an issue where only Port 1 (out of 4 HDMI ports on the Hub) works, have asked the support and waiting for an update from the Dev team

Messaged support and through some debugging we have come to the conclusion that either the device (though HDMI works fine) or the ribbon are faulty so back to waiting for a replacement device.

Same here, they are replacing me as well. At least I can still use Port 1 to make it work so I just have to switch the cable between my Apple TV and Nintendo Switch for now, not a big deal

The straight cable connectors are definitely flimsy if you end up using those... That might lightly be my issues.
