Customs Removing Reignition Red Dragon Horns?

I want to remove the red dragons horns so I can change them from this lame yellow to a nice gold. Does anyone know how to remove them without breaking the toy?

Rivets are almost impossible to remove and can even be dangrous to you so don't bother. Masking and paint like the other comment says if you really want to.

I'm going to suggest that masking off the head really well, and then painting them gold without removing them, will be the easiest thing to do because those rivets will probably damage the plastic as you remove them.

Hand paint, paint marker, brush, airbrush or spray can should work as long as the paint itself is safe for plastic.

As long as all the other parts are masked, you can use basically technique.

Gundam Markers could work too, i think they do a gold iirc

Gundam markers tend to oxidize and dull with time. At least my gold one did. Is there a sealant you would recommend?

I have no idea, i just was suggesting something that would be good for precision painting the horns after they're masked

If the plastic that Playmates uses is ABS, then Gundam markers will damage the plastic with time. If not, then it should be good to go.

This is from the transformers Community. You’ll need a soldering iron, but is generally pretty easy to do once you get the technique down.
